Hey everyone! Just getting into overlanding and recently picked up a 97' Jeep Wrangler. I got a super good deal on it, however it is the 2.5L motor rather than the 4.0L most people use for off-roading type activities. My question is, 'What are reasonable expectations to have with a 2.5L...
Hey gang. I'm considering switching from a 2013 JK Wrangler 2dr to a 2017+ 4 Runner TRD Off-Road and I would love some feedback from people on who made a similar switch.
Background: I'm a long-time Jeep person having owned everything from an early '78 CJ, YJ, XJ, and I currently daily drive a...

So I need to decide which shocks to buy for my jku
1. Fox 2.0 performance reservoir
2. Falcon 3.1
3. Icon vs2.0 "remote reservoir
All are more or less expensive but is the fox really the best shock for the buck?
I'm stuck between this... But the icon are most likely to expensive at the end...
After a few months of contemplation, I've officially made up my mind to trade in my wrangler to start a 4R 5th gen build. I'm both excited for something new and extremely sad to let my baby go... but it feels like the right thing to do.
Has anyone else made this switch? Regrets? Lessons learned?
Hey gang,
I'm glad I found this site. Still getting used to the layout.
I belong to an offroad club in Grand Rapids Mi. I've been trail riding and visiting ORV parks with my Wranglers for a few years. As the miles have gone by, I've found I really enjoy exploring the Michigan Upper Peninsular...
Hey there, I signed up to OB a while back, but I didn't know a forum had been formed. My name is Danny S from North Jersey, member # 1521. I got into some off roading a while back in 2011 but didn't get serious about Overlanding until about 2014 through friends that had introduced me to the...
Hey guys posting my route and what I have in mind in hopes that others can provide more areas to see or recommendations!

I just completed my DIY trunk and console for my 2003 Jeep Wrangler. I still have to add tie down points on the trunk, and various mounts (axe, shovel, hi-lift). The Max-5 camo lid will match my Marathon seat covers, whenever they arrive.

I've owned my 93 Wrangler 'YJ' for almost 8 years now and it does okay on local roads and the occasional highway run. I've taken one 1,000 mile weekend road trip to western PA and it was rough, pun intended. I thought after that I would be confined to the local camp spots because of my...
Hey guys. This is (somewhat unfortunately) my third build thread. I keep having to move vehicles around for different reasons, but hopefully this one will be mine for a good while.
It is a 2000 TJ with the 2.8l 4cyl. The motor is not ideal, but it actually performs a lot better than I thought...
What does everyone think? I was half expecting a lifted Fiat 500 when Jeep announced the redesign, but I think they did a great job with the JL.
Back to the boxier front end. Awesome CJ-ish grille design. Diesel in 2019. Kept the solid front axle and manual transmission option. Rubicon trim...
My wife and I took a trip through Texas. We mostly stayed at Texas State Parks but also included a great wheeling park near Marble Falls, Tx called Hidden Falls Adventure Park. I cannot recommend it highly enough. As for staying at state parks, we liked:

I bought the 2000 TJ with the intention of Overlanding with it but since it's been in the shop for upgrades I've been using my 2017 F150. I was wondering if anyone else has been using a full sized pickup and what you've done to outfit it to overland?
Hi!
My name is Nick, I'm fairly new to the Overlanding community, being introduced to the ideology in the last year. I've always been an avid outdoorsman, from camping, hiking, kayaking, fishing, hunting, etc. A friend of mine recently purchased a 2016 JKU, and since we've been exploring more...
Since everyone seems to like pictures and build threads I might as well share mine. The Jeeps changed a lot. The largest tires it has had were 35x12.5R15's and the smallest were the stock 205.75R15's, with 32x11.5R15's somewhere in the middle. I'm sure there's a bunch of stuff I'm forgetting...
