Had the same thing happen on my Burb. Surprised you couldn't feel it in the steering. Mine would pull hard left like torque steer during acceleration and then push back when the front end settled.

First impressions are really good I love all the extras typings and steps in the tread hopefully going to get them mounted up this afternoon if I can find somewhere to get an alignment done today20180622_163215.jpg

got it back from the alignment shop and took it for a quick spin down the freeway .

surprisingly quiet for as open lug as the tread pattern is
rides sooooo much better , much smoother over bumps

takes a lot less effort to get the tahoe going being they are a lot lighter then the MTRs

hopefully get a chance Sunday to take it on some back road exploring and try them out aired down

got a chance to take a little trip to the beach to give the new tires a shakedown drive . gained 3 mpg , they ride very smooth, work great in the sand even at full psi .

hopefully the next trip out will be a bit more offroad . random pics from the drive
20180628_124103.jpg yes I need to at least do the dark primer soon 20180628_125358.jpg 20180628_125413.jpg worked surprisingly well in 2wd

Hey! I was at that beach with the rusting ship skeleton just this last thanksgiving! My kid wanted to drive our Ford PU in the sand and got it stuck. (In the parking lot) Good education for everyone involved. :)

I read your build log and today, I'm jealous. You can do "improvements" to your rig. I'm still at the "fighting for mechanical survival" level.

That's actually kind of funny cuz I'm actually jealous of your build I'd love to someday restore some old iron but I keep doing dumb things like I'm doing on my Jeep project and go way overboard and make it take years

Sunday funday

Got a late start because I took Saturday off to do a mud run so I had to take care of some deliveries in the morning but still got out for a drive down the Barlow wagon trail . had to turn around early because a bridge was closed , still a great day out and I'm even more impressed with the tires , aired down they are way smoother riding then the MTRs where at the same psi hdr_00783_0.jpg hdr_00784_0.jpg 20180630_114338.jpg

full size rigs are great for stuffing a bunch of crap in 20180701_101839.jpg
beautiful views along the way hdr_00785_0.jpghdr_00783_0.jpg hdr_00784_0.jpg

Haven't read all the posts to see if you replaced the traction bars but if you haven't please do. Running that many lift blocks puts a heck of a lot of force on the springs and under acceleration or going over bumps things will mover around a lot. You will get a ton of axle wrap and can easily break a yoke on the diff or worse. Things can also get real squirrely under hard braking.

eventually I will be swapping to 3/4 ton 63" spring and doing a shackle reversal so the blocks are more of a temporary thing for now. I don't throttle jockey it so axle wrap is not really a concern . I hate traction bars all they really do is hang down and get hung up on stuff .

I made this really simple storage tray for my sequoia but thankfully it fits ok in the tahoe .takes just a min to put in and strap down, fits two of those under the bed long containers , my chairs , camp kitchen and a fishing pole or two 20180702_162112.jpg

Had to run some Building Supplies down to the beach or my brother is building a house and decided to use it as a very convenient excuse to stay down there for the 4th of July only big downside is the house isn't finished yet and there was no power inside but all the walls and windows are in so it was warm and dry. probably one of the best fourth of July's we had ever

Really need to do airbags or a spring swap doesn't exactly like all the camping gear and a trailer20180703_175247.jpg
