I emailed the BLM office to see if the North gate is open, but I figure the South entrance is where I'll start since camp is in the lower Knoxville OHV park.

Let's plan on meeting there at 10:30am. That way if anyone else wants to join they can meet me at 9am, or meet with you in the Valley and then we caravan up. Plan to have extra water on Saturday. It's going to be hot. There's a swimming hole near Hunting Creek Campground if we want to take a dip or just to hike to the waterfall. I'm planning on bringing my fishing pole so I can stop on my way home to fish a little. I don't have a CB yet, but I do have a handheld two-way radio. What channel should we tune to as we near the gate?

Yup, I have a CB. We are usually on channel 16. I also have a FRS radio.
