We did Homestead #1 earlier this year and now it is time to do Homestead #2. This was originally just to visit a old homestead on the Bruneau River but I decided to add a pictoglyph area to this trip as well. I have been wanting to get both of these areas for some time so now is the time.

This multi day trip is the latest in the year that I think I have ever done. So, you guys who like Winter camping might like this one. I am not sure what to expect for weather, but I do warn to be prepared for cold. Probably not snow, but nighttime lows can probably get pretty low so be prepared. Road conditions probably will not be too bad for the most part. I have heard that one section is pretty rough, but very doable with a prepared vehicle. Probably mildly lifted and factory high clearance vehicles should be fine. Good tires as always out there.

First, we'll hit the homestead and check it out and then head back to where some petroglyphs are. I am hoping to maybe find a certain petroglyph that they think might be a calendar of some sort. After that we will head to a spot to spend the night. Might even have a big fire to keep warm till bedtime.

This is not a guided tour and all who attend are ultimately responsible for their own safety. I am not responsible for damage, injury and or death. You partake under your own free will knowing the dangers of such activities.
