Wife dog and I are coming from Boise I’d anyone wants to caravan
Don’t know your rout details, but the original plan was pick up those of you in Boise around Baker City... unless you’re heading through Vale

Great can’t wait to see y’all again.
I’m currently building my 2003 Outback. It won’t be as big as my Forester
I’m planning on making it my Trail/Overland rig.

Some pics to get you excited! We checked on a portion of the trail we will be doing and it was beautiful. This will be one of our first stops to stretch our legs a bit, dip your toes in the creek, and look at an old homestead site that's on the other end of the meadow.

Looks awesome! We’re excited. Dog had TPLO surgery two weeks ago so we were afraid she wouldn’t heal in time but doctor says it’s usually 6 weeks of rest, this will be at 8 weeks so we’re hoping the bone heals and we don’t have set backs.

Will there be fuel stops or should I come prepared with a fuel can. This will be my first trip like this so I'm not sure what to expect for fuel economy. With a 6cyl Outback, I'll get around 26mpg @ 70mph. I did the math and I'll need to get 9mpg to make it 150 miles on 18.5gallons. I'm going to guess I'll get around 12-15mpg though.

There will be no fuel stops during the trip, we're gonna be in the woods the whole time! There is a gas station in town about 150 yards from the ranch to top off before we hit the trail though. The trail we are doing will be a bit over 100 miles I believe (I'm prerunning it this weekend and will be mapping it all out). Then the trail will kick us out near Prineville, Oregon where we will fuel up there and all head home.

Is that all on your ranch?

Hello.

I live down in Burns and was actually planning a trip from Burns up the 47 road to Dayville that very weekend. I was going to camp along the South Fork and do some fishing, but it would be better to meet some fellow overlanders and make some new friends.

Will be watching this event. How does the attendance look at this point?

I found the attendee list, so I answered my own question there.

I RSVPd, but I do have a couple more questions; 1 - are pets on leashes OK, and 2 - is your planned route north or south of 26 or both?

Sounds like fun.
