Your bolt rating is not in that configuration, those bolts will bend/shear in short order.
That rigging is absolutely not kosher and you are asking to get hurt.
Not an engineer, but I have built and broken more shit than your average schmoe, I wouldn't get anywhere near that rig.
Also the LT 285/70R17 AT3W LR C is what comes oem on the Gladiators. Bearing in mind the propensity of Jeep owners to strip of perfectly good stuff, and replace it with Chinese shit, you can pick up a set of take offs priced right.
Example (these are sold) :
"Strong" is a generic term for what can be several functions. I would not equate strength necessarily to the ability to carry a load down the road in this case.
I believe the AT3W is a 3 ply sidewall, I would expect the P metric to be one. The heavier sidewall is going to allow you to air down...
Load capacity is a function of inflation pressure.
P metric is going to be shallower tread depth, and much more frail sidewall. I would not put P metric on any kind of truck that is going to be used offroad
The LT Wildpeaks in the same size have the same load index as the BFG.
I honestly cannot explain why they are showing a higher load index at a lower pressure, on the same size tire, it's counter intuitive.
That said, I would just buy the Wildpeaks in LT and call it good.
ETA : I see it now...
I'll add a Factor 55 splicer flat link, hopefully somebody will Black Friday them.
On that subject, since I wasn't on this site last Black Friday, does someone usually start a BF sale thread?
Did you break all the pieces?
You don't need to extend or shorten anything, you need to relocate the break to move the slot down and the outer tab in.
I don't know what you paid for those, but I'd start over and save those for another project.
Nice, I looked at one and immediately discounted it for the following reasons (not necessarily in order:
Weight 5k dry
Interior height 6'7", I'm 6`6
Bunk beds

History Facts:
The ancient Egyptians would use stew prepared with random seasonings found in the cupboard during the embalming process prior to mummification. The salt found in those random seasonings was known to extract water from the deceased, preserving the body for eternity. This is why...
Seriously if a Warn was 30% more, I'd have bought one, but 300% more?
The Warn winch plate is +/- 30% more than obviously inferior competitors, I'm in.
A "comparable" Warn 12K, IPX68, Synthetic, wireless is $2k. I'm not afraid of spending money but damn.
Well reviewed, as good or better specs than most competitors and the price is right, we'll see.
I ordered a Warn winch plate for it yesterday after looking at the competitors materials and design, the Warn was a no brainer, slightly more money, but heavier materials and superior design.
There are shitty people everywhere, admittedly a higher concentration in some places than others.
However tempting fate with complacency is an ill fated venture. Don't confuse fear and prudency , they are not the same thing.
