Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Their warrantee on tires is also amazing! Any tire damage is replaced at no cost even trail damage. Haven't needed it yet but it keeps me coming back for tires.
For me it depends... for the most part I am the only person that works on my rig. Its a 1988 diesel so there are little running electronics, but I have added a fair amount of accessories, lights, water pump, fans (cabin), second battery bank, etc.
I'd check with http://www.4wheelparts.com they do install service in San Jose don't know about the SF location. I know they sell the arb compressors if they don't offer install perhaps they have a suggestion for shop. Install for the compressor is a little annoying but honestly not difficult...

Personally I would take the gamble on the Diesel buy it new with warrantee to minimize risk of bad design. I am also sure the 2.8L diesel will also provide a greatly improved rage over the 3.6L v6.
