US Southwest Recurring - North Central Texas Meet & Greet

UPDATE:
Due to the fact that the park will be closed for the Two Step Inn music festivle this coming weekend, the April meetup on Saturday will be located at Academy Sports in Georgetown. I will be parked at the far west end of the parking lot near the unpaved area. Look for the Bronco.

Anyone making it today?

Due to the heavy rain, I'm calling this morning canceled. See everyone next week for the Hill Country trip.

How were the wildflowers on the trip last week? Might get out to drive part of the route tomorrow but my wife wants to see wildflowers.

Not as much as in years past. The lack of rain had a toll on them. Still beautiful scenery, though.

This is video of the flooding just a mile from our house. Pray for everyone who's been affected by this disaster.

Texas Avid Outdoors Expo: October 3-5 2025

Giving everyone a heads up for the Aug 2 meetup. San Gabriel Park is currently closed due to the flood, so we will meet across the road in the Pizza Hut parking lot. Time is still 0900.

Anyone here spent time in Big Bend NP? Looking at a possible spring trip to take the RV trailer to a spot there and then do day trips into the park. Would prefer to enjoy drives with the family on some of the rougher roads to avoid some of the traffic. Truck is decently equipped for off road with sliders, full skids, small lift, upgraded tires. Old Ore road looks like it might be too much but seeking any input on recommendations.
