I spent at least 10 hours cleaning up my bumper, all with an angle grinder. My hands are still numb. But I got it primed and painted. I just need to drill some holes for the license plate, aux lighting and wheel well liners, the wire up the new fog light harnesses and I can install this beast. I've been working on it for 4 months. It's not perfect, but it would take me another 4 months to make it perfect. At some point you have to call it good enough.

One saying I really like is, "don't let perfection get in the way of good" that being said, your bumper looks awesome! Definitely will look great on your jeep.
 
Bought an RTT. Went with a CVT Rainier model. CVT is local to where I live and seem to have nice products. My buddy grabbed it for me and took some pics of it on his Taco. He didn't want to take it off and give it to me :) can't wait to get out and start using it. Also bought a little buddy tent heater with the 10' adapter hose to hook it to a 20lb propane bottle.

Yesterday and today, I took all the stuff out of and of of my Outback that isn't going to be sold with it. Took about three hours and had half the dash apart just remove the hardwired GPS and Sirius radio, as well as the Garmin backup camera. Took off the kayak straps mounted under the hood, the racks, inverter, USB extension, all the tools and spares, etc. Damn, there was a lot of stuff in there? Probably gets 4 MPG better now...

Finally a day off, AND I have my X back! 14 days... I felt like a target driving a Juke, I had a dozen cars pull out right in front of me, that never happens in the X. Guess size does matter on some things.

Anyways, did a few odds and ends to the truck. Did a trail mount for the propane tank and bracket. SOLID, functional, and convent. I'm digging it. Of course, it will only be up there when outdoors. Went for a little ride to check it out, looks like it will do fine, I do need to place some weather stripping or maybe a few wraps of silicon self fusing tape around the base to prevent an occasional ringing from the Gobi floor and mount floor tapping. But I think it came out great. Used a Manchester 5lb propane tank, powertank 5lb mount, and a pair of fourtrek perpendicular mount. I did need to cut off on of the screw holes on the end of each bar to fit in this application. Nothing a cutoff wheel and a burr grinder to clean it up didn't solve.

Finally enjoyed the day topless for the first time this year! Fortunately I was able to get the soft top off without having to unhinge the roof rack.

I really need to mount my propane outside the vehicle. Thinking of integrating it into the Jerry can mount on my second swing out. I just put it inside the back of the cruiser right now. My the safest or best though. Your looks really nice btw! I only have Yakima load bars though so that wouldn't work for me.

I replaced my Mobile HF rig (Kenwood TS-480Sat) with another Mobile HF Rig, that adds the 2M, and 70Cm bands (Icom IC-706 Mk.II G) Which included installing an LDG Z100 auto tuner under the seat, driven by the radio, and adding another dual band antenna (Yet to be done) to the back of the truck.

Here's the new control head mounted roughly where the Kenwood control head was.

New rear bumper. From Shrock to Maxterra. The Jerry can addition is nice and the main reason for wanting to replace the Shrock, the lights are nice, the welds are nice. The entire thing, beyond what I wanted. Was over at his place today around lunch, took off the Shrock, mounted his bumper, pizza came, ate, and he wired the lights (license plate light, backup lights, and marker lights). Super smooth, awesome product, and great customer service. Just finished installing the trailer plug and wiring.

Bad storms here in Texas lately. Had a downed tree across the road. The rig played "good Samaritan" and removed the tree. Got to use a tow strap and 4lo. Was a little fun. Now I'm soaked though, and there is an AC vent above my desk.

I fixed my windshield Washers. The booster that feeds the rear washer nozzle is either clogged or broken, so the fluid was just spraying out under the hood. I cut the end off the hose, bypassed the rear, and connected the hose directly to the hood connections. They now work better than they ever have, however Im battling my OCD by not having that rear nozzle working, even though I never ever use it. We'll see if practicality or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder wins in the end....

This is great, after I fix this annoying whine in the back end of my rig, my next big project is some power distro all throughout. How did you run the juice back?
