I finally installed the Ballistic Fab rear diff. cover that I purchased a couple months ago from a TNX member. I liked the raw look of it so instead of painting I used Duplicolor Adhesion Promoter and clear coat.

While I under there I also [finally] installed a rear diff. breather extension.

I also changed the front diff. fluid. Mobil 1 75w90 Synthetic now in both.

Winch, LED fog lights and bumper...installed
Grille...repainted but not yet installed
HID conversion kit and projector retrofit...done
Oil change...done
No-Spill Systems oil drain valve...over-torqued and broken (that's what I get for not following the directions provided by No-Spill and torquing to Nissan specs...oops)

The bumper looks great, Steve. Well worth the wait.

My snorkel came in yesterday, so I'm primed and ready for install next weekend.

Thanks and yes it was. Arrived exactly 4 months after I placed the order but I really like it.

My snorkel arrived on Friday and is ready for next weekend as well. It's funny that they shipped direct from 4x4parts.com...I'm guessing that they ordered too many for the previous group buy and offered them real cheap to Offroad Gorilla.

Tonight I wired the winch up and installed the Factor 55 ProLink. Also installed a license plate re-locator bracket on the Hefty and did the easy fog light bypass posted on TNX.

I still need to install a grille (just bought an '05-'08 grille) and tweak the Hefty bumper mounting a bit.

'05-'08 grille painted and installed and finally installed the Nissan side window vent visors that I got for Christmas.

Some photos from a second [wet] camping/wheeling/exploring trip in Tillamook State Forest with NWXC a few weeks ago. I learned on this trip that some trails aren't very RTT friendly. On a couple of occasions there were off-camber turns that leaned toward nearby trees...in one case we had to turn around because the tents were not going to get by without damage.

Had a great Memorial Day weekend camping and exploring with friends from NWXC in Gifford Pinchot National Forest, north of Trout Lake.

Base Camp

We found some snow and Josh (jhberria) and I were the only two willing to cross...I quickly learned that I should have aired down (but what fun is that!)

Stuck (so close to the end!)

Winching Out

Stuck again on the way back out (still refused to air down)

The crew...

Mt. Adams

Back at home and all cleaned up

A few of us local Xterra guys, including @Snowtrout, spent a recent weekend camping and exploring the Barlow Road Trail. This is an easy (but fun) trail that begins near Government Camp, OR. We camped near the beginning on the first night and followed it the next day to Tygh Valley on the dry, eastern side of the Cascades, where we camped the second night. I think that it's safe to say that we all had a blast. Unfortunately, I didn't get many pictures while on trail...
