Hey guys,

I have been super swamped recently and I haven't been able to find any good places for a camping weekend for this month.

So, I'm going to postpone the meetup/campout until the forth weekend of February (21-23). I'll try to have a place picked and a Rally Point setup by the 14th.

Thanks everyone for showing up to these meetups, it's been a true pleasure meeting you all!

Hey folks,

The Rally Point is up, finally!

Quick Details:
Where: Kulshan Campground (near Baker Lake)
When: Feb 21-23

Hope to meet y'all out there!

Cheers!

Hey folks,

It's time for me to get the ball rolling on the next campout for March.

Anyone have any suggestions for a location? I would like to hit Seattle members more, so maybe somewhere along Hwy 2, Hwy 530, or Mountain Loop Hwy.

As for when, I haven't got a firm date yet, but I should by Monday.

Cheers!

Quick update folks, the meetup will not be this weekend. I've got several things going on and can't fit it in the schedule. As of right now, it's looking like the 27th-28th. I'll get more dates here soon.

It pains me to say it, but this month just isn't going to work out for a campout/meetup. I have to rebuild my daily driver engine, so that has taken priority over OB items. Sorry guys, but I just can't swing it.

Hope to see you all in April.

Cheers!

Ohh no Gabe... please tell me there is a good story behind your engine failure.

To all of you that have been doing the monthly campout, maybe you could help Gabe out and plan one without him. It doesn’t take a member rep to get these things organized.

Not really, just decided it didn't want to work anymore. . It's a VW so I'm not too worried.

It's my 1974 VW Beetle. 1600cc.
That 1600 is a beast... I’ve helped a buddy do several 1200-1600 swaps when I was in HS. VW engine parts used to be cheap, but that was back when a 74 bug fully decked out would set you back <$1000 Pesos.

Dang. Yeah, I'm about to remove it, but haven't had a ton of time to dedicate to it.

The cool thing about these motors... stupid simple to rebuild. From time out of bug to time in bug compl rebuilt was less than 8 hours. This assumes no block work needs done and you are using aftermarket heads
