Fixed it for you….think about it...IF bigfoot was real, the government would have already had them paying taxes and paying other’s student loans...

Gorgeous location and quite the hair raising tale. The road you showed looks very inviting to me, BUT, I always say, trust your gut. If your spidey sense was tingling, it was wise of you to listen to it.Oh, there's a thread on this, so BUMP...
I don't believe nothing. There's a bunch of stuff I know and a whole lot more that I don't and I really don't understand all I know.
However,
About 6 weeks ago I was camped here:

Next to a stand of dense second growth Doug Fir. About 10 pm - still last light in summer - I heard a few whooping sounds ( high pitched "oooWAH" like somebody would make if they were trying to freak you) I first thought it was a weird bird but don't know any birds that whoop it up at night around here. Too high pitched for an owl. But didn't dwell on it. I spent 34 years in Alaska and extensive overlanding in a Cessna 170b and I've heard lots of unexplained miscellaneous crap at night. I know what bears sound like when they are farting around at night. Kind of like if you are hanging around a homeless community in the pnw. There are elk around here and I heard them bugling in the morning , nothing else sounds like an elk bugling. Moose used to winter over on my property in Alaska and when a big critter decides to go somewhere that they don't fit, there's a lot of noise. Then maybe an hour later somebody or some thing knocked over one of those trees at what sounded like about 50 yards into the trees. That got me to stand up and go all wide eyed and listen really hard for a while, no follow up sounds like an animal pushing through, just silence. Ok, nothing seems to want to eat me so I went to bed and slept pretty well. Wrote it all off to being in the wilderness. I was on state land about 3 miles from a campground but had seen no other vehicles on this stub road. I had seen no other traffic for two days. Quiet enough to give you tinitus. Played with my radios the next day and went for a walk. I came to a road that I just did not want to go down. I guess it was a case of having the creepy crawlies, alone with just an Inreach to mark the body. But just didn't want to walk it alone , although could probably get some cool pin striping for the rig.

So forgot about it . Lot's more to worry about in this version of America.
Then, whilst cruising Utoob for some places to explore I went down one of those rabbit holes that can gobble significant portions of you lifespan. from Salish Sasquatch. In it they had a bunch of recordings of what they claim was bigfoot. One of them perfectly matched the sound I heard. Then they had a raft trip and where they put their raft in the river was only a few miles from where I camped. And they mentioned that tree chucking was one of the cryptid sporting events...
hm.
So I want to go back. Pretty soon. There's room for 3-4 rigs. Anyone? Maybe an hour + from Forks.
