Welcome.Hi folks. I just joined, so here's my introduction:
Name: Chuck, but people call me Two Buck (there's a story there that doesn't involve Trader Joe's wine)
Location: Los Angeles
Rig: 1985 Toyota FJ60 LandCruiser "Dixie"
Experience: Noob. I've owned this truck for nearly 20 years but never really took advantage of its capabilities. I aim to change that.
My motto: "I'm not a good mechanic, but I'm slow."

Welcome to Overland Bound!Just signed up for the forum after following the site and YouTube channel for a couple of months. Fairly new to overlanding after starting to explore the outdoors while doing landscape photography. Was in a Rav 4, but upgraded to a 2016 4Runner SR5 Premium.
For experience I am definitely a novice and am looking forward to exploring and getting out on my days off a couple times a month and finding places off the beaten path. Luckily one of my best friends has been in doing this for nearly 40 years so I’ve got him to learn from and hoping to meet people here to learn from and just be part of a community with likeminded interests. I love what this site is about and that it’s open and nonjudgemental whether you’re a novice like me or someone with years of experience. That’s definitely steered me away from other forums.
I’m from Las Vegas, NV and hope to one day be able to attend some of the gatherings and trips through this site although I’m a pit boss at a casino and I haven’t had a weekend or holiday off in a decade so that might be a little more difficult for now.
I was born and raised in Las Vegas and while I enjoy the desert one of my main goals for now is to explore places with trees and greenery like the Sierras, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho just to make a few.
I’m just starting out with my 4Runner and have a couple of things I’m going to do to it that I consider necessities, but besides that I’m going to take a wait and see approach and just take it as I go and live in the moment. I just want to get out more and be able to pick up and go whenever I have the chance.
Anyone in the Las Vegas area or that’s going to be visiting the area please feel free to contact me I’d love to hit the trails and learn anything I can and just get to know others in the community.
Thanks,
Jordan

Welcome Travis!Hey everybody! I'm the new guy. I'm Travis and my dog Kona. We are from NW Indiana, The Region. I have owned many 4x4's and recently purchased a 2018 Tacoma TRD Offroad this is 100% stock. Her name is Sugar. I've overlanded all around! Afghanistan, Iraq, the Greater Fort Hood Texas area, Summit County Colorado, all over Alaska, I drove the Alcan and US pacific HW 1. Longest Venture was 8,600 Miles from Alaska to TX. I've done that trip twice. Once straight north and across the ALCAN and the second taking the Ferry from Homer Spit to Seatle, Drove the coast to San Diego and headed east to TX before settling back in Indiana. I've been around! I've explored all over the Lake Michigan region, MI, WI, IN. I'm currently a non traditional student at Purdue, yada yada. 99% of all my trips have been just me and my dog, soI'm interested in meeting some people in NWI/SW MI for glamping and crusing the trails. Lastly, I really enjoy fishing and just love being outdoors and away from civilization.
