Hi @rootUser and welcome to the Overland Bound forum! You'll find a wealth of information here, and a lot of great people to chat with, learn from, and share experiences with.
Welcome aboard!
If you go to Hoh, stop at Peak 6 Tours and Gift Shop on your left at 4883 Upper Hoh Road. It has some great buys on good quality stuff. My wife bought a water resistant fleece lined hooded jacket for $39, and their t-shirts were pretty inexpensive, too. Talk to the older lady that runs the place...
That's the fun part about getting older. No "almost" about it; it is like watching the race for the first time. That also makes watching movies like "the Alamo" more interesting, because each time you watch, you don't know who's going to win. :)
First child-free vacation since October?!?!? Our trip last September was our first child-free trip since 1988!
We loved Cape Flattery! We spent two days exploring out of Sequim, and four out of Forks. I imagine the weather in March will be much different than September, but places we liked were...
I just had Subaru of Daytona do an oil change and tire rotation. On the turbo Subaru engine, 3750 mile synthetic changes are a must for a smooth running turbo. Last oil change was in Oregon, and now one in Florida!

I thought of this, as we have the NPS Passports that you get stamped at various...
We spent several hours driving the forest trails through the Ocala National Forest today. Got the Outback good and dirty!
Finally, a photo with the ARB 2500 awning deployed. Yes, I know the shade has shifted out from underneath. Works like a charm.
Gaia worked great! That was the first time I've used it other than sitting on the couch, and it kept us well informed and was easy to use. There were some roads on the map not actually there, as well as the other way around, but that's the fault of the USGS map, not Gaia.
I'll see how Gaia works on the iPad today. We're heading to Ocala National Forest after lunch to drive some of the trails. It looks like you could drive for days in there! Pics and a review later.
When I asked Michael to move the thread over to this forum, I meant the whole thing with the pictures I'd already posted. If one of you'd move those particular posts over here, that would be great. Else just go here and look:
Steve & Deb Drive To Florida (February 2016)
This was today...
@scubasteve2002 Maybe it was you on another forum, or another ScubaSteve. I've been on so many forums, I forget where. Vespa, F-150, shooting, camera, and more. I had a 2002 WRX Wagon that I bought new and sold last March.
