US West Set of 5 Toyo Open Country Tires for sale.

Hmmm, those look like the SLs which would be right for me. I'm certainly interested, and I live pretty close (Lincloln). -TJ

US West Set of 5 Toyo Open Country Tires for sale.

As far as I can tell Toyo made those in C, E and SL. If you can get the actual part number or rating off the sidewall that should clear it up. -TJ

Thanks, I think I'll pass. These were going to be for my other WJ which is just on a 2" budget boost, so the size is perfect. But for the relatively light WJ I think we'd prefer the C. Still, GREAT deal for somebody. -TJ

The Future of Overlanding; What Can One Person Do?

Yeah... dog owners sometimes suck... and I'm a dog owner. We ALWAYS bag our dog stuff up, and pack it out (or put it in our own trash, whatever). Even if it's one of those "well it's outdoors and not exactly on the trail so it's just some biodegradable waste, right?" situations. -TJ

    2019 Silverado TrailBoss

As a rule I usually hate Fab Fours because of some of the tragic stuff they do to Jeeps and some of the 3/4-1 tons. However, that bumper looks outstanding on your truck, and tucks nicely, avoiding the "fat lip" as Wile_ put it. It looks like you've got yourself a really capable, great looking...

The Future of Overlanding; What Can One Person Do?

I see the same thing in the "duner" community as well. You get some bad seeds, and some that weren't ever brought up right. Sometimes you see folks that just throw their trash (usually beer cans/bottles) in the sand, the same sand they know they'll be driving through too. They are a tougher...

    Real OVERLANDER rig import

It really seems like your 3rd option: buying a vehicle in the US would be the easiest and probably most cost-effective choice. That said, I don't know how it works buying and registering a vehicle in the US if you don't have some form of residence and a local license... so it may turn out to be...

    Recently got a new rig

Nice, that's a great platform for an Overlander. Seeing the K5 would have been great, but I totally understand life getting in the way. -TJ

    M715 Adventure Rig

Awesome build, that thing is so neat! Long-term, once you have it on the road for a while and see where things stand I bet you can improve the ride some by playing more with shocks, maybe even some custom IBP shocks. I don't know what your planned use-case for it is, but assuming it can...

2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Build

Yeah... I saw that in the instructions and considered it. I might still change it up, not sure. However, where the ground is there's a short lead that goes directly back to the battery, and the same is true for the positive... it's on the short lead that goes straight back to the battery. So...

2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Build

Oh, another thing I decided to take care of "while I'm in there" were the battery terminals. They're pretty hammered from the years, and the ground side had actually cracked near the clamp bolt. This was going to be no-good for running the winch wiring right to it. I looked for a whole new...

    2003 Grand Cherokee Laredo

Sounds good... oh, also spark plugs. As you saw in my thread mine were well over-due. -TJ

    2003 Grand Cherokee Laredo

JimBill - just some thoughts on things to do "while you're there" doing the cooling system job, and a couple lessons-learned: If you have no valve-train clatter I wouldn't dig into the hydraulic lash adjusters, necessarily - but they aren't really too bad if you have the valve covers off and...

2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Build

Just an easier way to do the bleeder than the little plug... also makes the bleeder ever so slightly taller. I have a cap for it of course. -TJ
