Well. you really can charge via solar...it will take a while. but it does work. So if you had two suitcase panels, you could take a day and charge the rig to about 40-50 percent. in a full day charging and not using the vehicle.
30 min for 80 percent charge on a level 3 fast charger. Big deal. have a piss, eat a sammich or burrito and relax for 15 min. Gone again. the last 20 percent in an EV is slow charge to condition and preserve battery life. 80 percent charge on most good ev is 350 miles
The FX4 gives full skids underneath, different suspension tuning, hitch and a few other things. no locking rear end like the bronco. So maybe I can add that locker system when I get the truck.
I consider Jeep wrangler/TJ/CJ/etc, toyota taco/4 runner, as the non misfits. The cool crew rigs! ha ha. I consider small rigs like our patriot, rav 4, crv etc misfits as they are not popular. But will go 90 perecnt of the places they are pointed. I had 2 wrangler JKU's. I wheeled them...
I have seen a bunch of O/B with their front guards. They are stout. Very well made and solid. If I had a subie, it's the first item going on to protect the underside and mount some lights in a sleek option.
One other thing I have been reading on the Mav is that it's pretty well the Bronco Sport underneath. Does that mean it has the same rear end setup? if so, Can I not take the limited slip system out of the bronco sport and install it into the Mav rear end?
Will do. I am excited to drive one too. I love small rigs. As I mentioned before, the patriot was in sick bay for 2 weeks and I had the F150. It's gargantuan. I hate it. I like small nimble vehicles. The Nissan Micra SR we had was boondockers for driving around town. Super fun!
I would like to merge features of both of these into one truck. Mostly the ford, Since it's coming with an off road package. I wish ford had an in bed trunk, and 5000lb towing. I just can't deal with the hyundai's looks. It's BFU styling wise.
We are going to have one for sure. We love small rigs. We are in line for a xlt fx4 package as I mentioned. Now, in a few months after release, I am guessing some companies will release a 2 inch lift or so, for it and we can add a bit of air and tire under neath. We do not rawkrawl here so...
I am in the lineup for a maverick XLT FX4 with 4000 lb tow package. It's enough of a truck for what I need, small which I want, and awesome on gas which is a need here with 1.55 a liter and climbing daily. I have an F150 in the driveway now and it SUCKS. Not because it's a bad vehicle, but...
We have the luggable loo with doodie bags. Works like a charm. We are now getting a cassette for number 1's and use the loo for number 2s unless I can fit the doodie bags into the cassette toilet for "usage".
