Need some real world suggestions on lighting options.

I had both converted stock JK headlights with LED and Truck Lites. Both lced up and could not melt snow. I took them out and went to Hella ECE's with HID and they never iced up once. So, Yes, LED does not melt snow.

How are you guys powering your fridge in the back of SUV?

I already have a jackery for electronics and camera charging. I will charge the Jackery from a plug in the rear while driving as well. The battery would only be for fridge power.

How are you guys powering your fridge in the back of SUV?

What are peoples thoughts on this. My friend and I know of a quick solinoid solution to automatically charge the lithium ion battery while driving, and then disconnect when the Jeep is turned off. We won't be stationary for more than 24 hrs at a time, so a decent small Lithium battery should...

It's a great overland platform. Decent power, great size, and comfortable. I wish I could find a crew cab version that is in great condition with the 318. I would probably jump on it for sure. I loved the mopar black valve covers I put on mine too. HA HA HA.

    Orienteering by hand?

I don't know how I missed this thread. This skill should be learned before EVER venturing into the backcountry. You should ALWAYS have a paper map of your area and a compass. Electronic nav is fun and all, but never 100 percent reliable. Batteries and hardware damage is much less likely to...

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Basically, With a compass module when stationary, your screen will rotate with you.....Like a compass. WIthout it, you need to be moving to get proper direction of travel. Plus the compass features of the software will not work. Not a deal beaker, but just letting people know. My last...

The only thing the Galaxy tab A 8 does not have is a compass sensor. Other than that it's the best inexpensive tablet for in vehicle duties. We use the LTE version and it's great!

How are you guys powering your fridge in the back of SUV?

We are working out details now. I am thinking a small Lithium battery in the back of the Jeep would be best. Charge it from the main Jeep charging and run the fridge off that when stopped. Something I know will last a full day running.
