    Sliders on a 2wd truck

I don't have a 2wd, but adding protection is always good. We are putting supersliders on our patriot as well. Better to have them and not need them.

The Autism Family Travels updated vehicle build. Take two! 2015 Jeep Patriot altitude.

Next up is new rolling stock as the AT51s are now done. that's since 2017 on them. We got our money's worth for sure. I am not sure what we are going with, but it's not going to be the AT's. I can't get past that flighty feeling on center. We have lots planned for this year and our little...

The Autism Family Travels updated vehicle build. Take two! 2015 Jeep Patriot altitude.

Update number 1. Added our nav/entertainment/vehicle information tablet and mount to the Pat. We used the ram mount and arm from the Wrangler, and I got around to installing it today.

    Post Up Your Cockpit

I got to work on my tablet mount. I think I like it better in the vertical position instead of the horizontal position when I had it mounted in my Wrangler. It works great, and as a bonus of having it in the vertical position, my software for monitoring our fridge in the back is much...

What sparked my interest in overlanding

I was into sport compacts before fnf came about. The first movie was entertaining but, like you said it ruined it. I had a 2000 integra with a supercharger on it, quiet stock looking exhaust and no exterior clues that it was modded. Cops were on me all the time becuase of the light rite morons...

    Anyone running king springs?

I am looking at getting a set of king springs for our patriot. They have 20mm lift shown so that's about an inch which is fine, but I am hoping to increase payload for when we are loaded with gear and the sylvansport on the back. I am going to run Bilstein struts for damping duties. See what...

    Crossover or mid-size SUV recommendation

from 2013 on patriots and compass'es went to a traditional 6spd trans instead of the cvt on the non trail rated versions. I don't know why they kept the cvt there as the 6sp had almost as low range as the fdII cvt and higher "high gear" than the cvt of the non FDII models. I love my pat with...

    Winches

I am looking for a lightweight compact winch for the patriot. I am figuring a 6500lb winch would be fine for what I would need of it. the vehicle is about 3300 lbs.

    Crossover or mid-size SUV recommendation

Lots of competitors are not using CVTs. Even some who own Jatco the maker of many of the CVTs used today are moving away from them. I am looking at you Nissan. The new pathfinder does NOT have a CVT anymore. Even Nissan knows that its a crap technology for automotive use.

Anyone have a FI dog collar?

Yes, they all need cell service. Garmin should make one to communicate with inreach.

Show me a Road Sign.....really any sign...

I was with a couple of friends trying to do a loop ride around Red Indian Lake here in Central Newfoundland on my KLR. In the middle of nowhere, I come upon this sign. I should have had my GPS with me so I could see where I was exactly. We were winging it that trip. Was really fun though!

    Post Up Your Cockpit

Well, I have a dash mount setup for our patriot. I have a ball mounted in the top part of the "cubby". I am using a ram mount off that and putting the tablet on that. I will have it complete this week and give you some pictures. We are running the galaxy tab a 8".

    Samsung Galaxy Tab4

Ahh. I was thinking way older. Ha ha. You should be good running any software. I love gaia. It's probably the best out there for what we are doing with our vehicles. If you want a discount code, I can post one if it's cool with the mods.
