Looking forward to this one. I'll be bringing the dog with me. He seems to be doing much better getting along with other dogs, but please be aware that it's an unknown right now. Just to be clear.... Meet at ion truck plaza at 7:30, correct?

    Sleeping bags

I have an old Coleman 0° mummy that my dad used when I was in scouts. I recently bought my 4yo daughter an 18° Teton bag. We camped in 35° weather a few weeks ago,and she stayed toasty warm. I liked hers so much, I bought a 0° bag for myself. My wife's going to try the mummy in a couple of...

    The s10 build

I ran a hayden 678 (slightly smaller than the 679) on my Colorado (same transmission), and it still shifted like new when I got rid of it at 196k. It's a great cheap mod you can do.

What's your latest camping gear purchase, and what caused you to buy it?

My dad just gave me his old Dutch oven. I'm thinking about taking it with us for our memorial day trip. My wife keeps hearing about this legendary Dutch oven peach cobbler.... As for me... This isn't expressly a camping purchase, but I just picked up a 2013 Frontier Pro-4x. My colorado was...

What's your latest camping gear purchase, and what caused you to buy it?

Nice! Those power stations are handy. I basically just bought a similar setup. Bought a second 500w rockpals, 120W solar panel, and a massimo 42L fridge. Right now, I'm looking at storage containers, as I need a more organized way of hauling my gear.

Does anyone use a Massimo Fridge-Freezer?

I bought one from Costco for 275 shipped for the cx40. So far I'm quite happy with it, but I've not used it on a trip yet. I did do some testing with my 540Wh rockpals battery over the weekend. Running on eco mode, with the temp set to 35, the fridge used about 25% battery every 24 hours. I...

    fridge power

That was the route I was originally going to go. I was going to build my own "solar generator" using a 50Ah LiFePO4 battery, solar charge controller, and wire it up myself. It would have had a bit more capacity, but building the battery box alone would have cost me close to $500. With all the...

    fridge power

I just got my fridge on Wednesday, and have been doing power testing, trying to figure out how I wanted to power it. My situation is a bit different though. Both my wife and I use cpaps, and need a way to power those, even off grid. For that, we use a rockpals 540Wh battery pack. This works...
