Welcome from Hunt County.
Make sure you clean that farm jack up and lubricate it properly. Like a knife that isn't sharp sometimes hilifts/farm jacks can be more dangerous than normal when not properly maintained.
Holy hell what an individual we have here. Knows what he's doing isn't responsible, gets called out for it, demands apology or issues threats to sue, starts adding information not in the original post to justify his actions, continues to double down.
Maybe the COVID is messing with your...
I guess my somewhat introvert tendencies pay off. Not sure I want to go places where I"m cooking for large groups of people to the point a harrow disc sized cooking surface is needed. My dual burner propane stove. a cast iron griddle and all my other cooking stuff and multiple days of food...
Yes as long as they are using FRS radios they're legal and if you have a GMRS license you're good to talk them on your GMRS radio. Agree with the above post. Invest in a mobile radio. It's worth it not to have to jack with recharging or batteries alone.
I use a dual sided male cigarette lighter cord and charge via my box's 12v outlet, when going down the road via the cargo area 12v port. I don't leave it hooked up in camp as I'm typically using it at that point and I have a larger box (3 7aH batteries) and unless I'm gone for almost a week at...
I just ordered a Lenovo M8 to replace my borked no name tablet, 90 dollars shipped to my door with mil/first responder discount. I'll update after it gets here and I have some time behind it.
My current tablet (don't buy vankyo tablets lol) has a dead GPS chip. It pulls some kind of info from my phone when hooked to it via tethering that gives very slow updates to my position. Not sure what it's getting info wise but it's getting some kind of location info.
As for suggestions for other handhelds. Motorola or Kenwood surplus radios are a great option but are kind of the radio nerd option, I'll get to that in a second. They're about the same or cheaper than buying the GMRS V1, are far better as far as the "cleanliness" of their transceivers and are...
Just find one that fits your size requirements. All you're really paying for on a CB is features and accessories since they're all limited to 4 watts, unless you're doing SSB.
Or you could just skip CB and go to GMRS or even HAM if you can take a simple test.
For some reason I can never see whatever links people are dropping. I think it's usually amazon links.
I've got a GMRSV1 as well. Good handheld and will do repeaters if you care about such things. I've also got some of the Midlands. They're ok for what they are but are consumer level...
You could always look into the MARS/CAP mod for your specific radio. If you aren't willing to go down that route though then yes you can use a HAM dual band antenna on GMRS. Its not ideal but will give good enough performance and your SWRs will probably be around 1.5-2.0 depending on what part...
They just opened up a Harbor Freight in my closest town. My pocket book is already crying for help. Figured id give this 20v fan a try. In currently running a run time test on high setting with the 3.0ah battery.
