    GMC Canyon AT4 OverlandX

That's one of my favorite features. I always loved those on the old big Broncos and Blazer S-10. Always like to see vehicles with those

    GMC Canyon AT4 OverlandX

It's only a concept but I am far more excited over the prospect of something like this coming to market than I am with, say, the new Grand Wagoneer as it exists.

    GMC Canyon AT4 OverlandX

I could do without the branch wires, I'd probably change the mud tires to KO2's or something, and lose the deuchebag snorkel, but then again, getting out of a hurricane prone region during tough times, the snorkel could come in handy.

    GMC Canyon AT4 OverlandX

Sorry if this is posted elsewhere. Did a search and didnt see it. At Overland Expo Mountain West, seems GMC revealed what seems like one-upmanship to Chevy Colorado ZR2 - the GMC Canyon AT4 OverlandX. Has anyone there seen this yet? Seems like a lot of stuff on it that a lot of folks here have...

Gold company seeks land grab, Goodbye Cerro Gordo?

Well, I havent moved west yet...yet

    Chevrolet Suburban 2500 Overland Build

Suburban k2500 is a veritable ark out there on the highways. Seems like on open desert trails it would be like an oasis. Roving base. Seems a good platform. I wish they had made a k2500 Tahoe between 200 and 2014. I like the shorter wheelbase and L.O.A. of those. Nice RIGd. I think of getting...

    Jeep Commander(family wagon)

I have always liked these. The head of Chrysler was evidently not a fan. They were the lowest selling Jeep at the time, but I think they marketed it wrong. It was built on the gen 3 Grand Cherokee platform of the time (same wheelbase) but was on just an inch or 2 longer. First Jeep with 7...

Gold company seeks land grab, Goodbye Cerro Gordo?

Must be that Cerro Gordo doesnt have a Kennedy yachting around to put a stop to this.

Gold company seeks land grab, Goodbye Cerro Gordo?

I choose preservation as well, of course. Conservation. However I am also concerned that, more than gold, lithium is what some of these companies may be after. As I understand it, the two most often used methods of extracting lithium from the ground are: 1)pumping water underground so the...

Might be moving to south Florida...

Been around central Florida a few times. Can't say I'd be impressed with any Overlanding scene, given the highest point in the state is only 200' above sea level. We get up just above 300' on Cape Cod (Bourne - near the mainland), and more than 10 times that in our Berkshires. Couple hours away...

Overlanding Shoes (Is there such a thing :-) )

When my hands needed toughening for martial arts, we filled a 5 gallon bucket with sand and punched into it. Later, it was rock salt. Hitting the heavy bag. Under both practices it was not uncommon to wrap our wrists. Because while practicing and conditioning our fists and skin, it is not...

    Jeep Commander(family wagon)

If only Jeep had called the Commander the Cherokee and offered selectable 4 x 4 (like Selec-Trac in the GC), and never introduced the current line of Cherokee, then they would still be selling these things today

    Rig getting heavy

The shocks do not raise the truck. The shock is responsible for pushing the tire back down onto the road after hitting a bump sends the wheel upward. In some cases, the coilover spring (front) can be made to sit higher on the shock tower. Or, one could have air bags installed in the rear. So...

Saw that. Love TFL Truck. Again, for me, I don't ride technical trails, so it's never been an issue. It's more a matter of snow and icy roads here for me.

8,000 pounds is a hell of a truck. I dont think I have 2500 pounds of gear in mine but I bet its possible for some. I admit, the G80 has its place, but planned lockinging is unfortunately not it. If you are not fully versed with it, is can kick in at seemingly unpredictable times, and leave you...

    Love full sized

Nice truck and nice scenery! I'd like to get there someday! Here's mine: Two on Mt Washington in NH last year, one at The Badlands of South Dakota, and one at the Roosevelt Arch in Yellowstone back in May:

2005 sequoia build and adventures aka “turd crappley”

-"Give me all the gasoline and windshield wiper fluid you have." -yes, sir. -"Wait, wait...I worry what you heard was 'give me A LOT of gasoline and windshield wiper fluid.' What I sad was ""give me ALL the gasoline and windshield wiper fluid you have."" ...do you understand?

That IS kind of a big spread. Im the same way though. Between the 3 I would probably go Trail Boss but I like full size trucks. I like the small and mid size trucks too. I just never owned one. Keep in mind, because of its AFM/DFM, the full size chevy 5.3 liter v8 gets the same or better fuel...

What to put on my vehicle?

This. If you are saving for a new Bronco, you're gonna need some $. Save that money by not spending a dime on unnecessary upgrades to a vehicle you plan not to have. Do make sure any maintenance is done on the vehicle, however. Used car prices are way up compared to a year ago. You might get...
