Today after work I finished up with my Reflectix heat barrier installation on the JK. We doubled up on the layers for the rooftop and this weekend we will be laying it on the floorboards to get rid of the AZ summer road heat, as well. Total cost including the spray can of 3M commercial grade...
Did you recently install wheels and tires? Out of balance will cause the wobbles, suspension components not torqued to specs, stock star washers that hold the rotors on will also cause the wobbles. I had new tires installed and I got the wobbles really bad. Took it to another store and found out...
LOL, motorcycles are definitely an exception to the rule - high speed tank slappers. I miss those days. :disrelieved: Solid axle vehicles will get the Death wobble just having the tires out of balance. IFS vehicles should not need stabilizers if set up correctly.
Is anyone in AZ heading up to Colorado this summer? We are going up on June 27th and disperse camping on the trails. Staying until July 5th and then running back down the hill to Tucson. This will be my wife's 1st time wheeling/camping in Colorado, should be lot's of crying and praying going on...
You said what all of the Baofeng owners were thinking but afraid to say. A lot if Ham owners have the mod and I wish that I would have gotten my Yaesu done before they shipped it out to me.
Be sure to stop by Bishop castle when you go to eastern Colorado. Plus, if you are going to Valley of the Gods you might as well go up Pikes Peak and have a doughnut.
Are any of you interested in the SW Colorado area? We are going the end of this month and wouldn't mind a couple more vehicles to join us. Dispersed camping and hitting the favorite trails in the area.
Ham radios can be very expensive when you look at all of the fancy bells and whistles that come with them. You can start out with a cheap $25 handheld or step up to the $100 mobile radio or go for the bells and whistles for $500. It is all up to you and the way that I see it talking is talking...
I would check with any refrigeration shop that works on ice maker machines, smoothie machines like the kind that you see at Circle K, QT, Speedway stores. Those are all small compressor units like the one in your frig/freezer.
The Yaesu is very sensitive to rfi and it really hates cheap LED lights. I had to replace all of my lights wiring with 20/2 shielded wire and that fixed the rfi issues. I went with the Yaesu over the Kenwood for a couple of reasons - color touch screen and the ability to text messages on the...
The San Juans will not be open that early to wheeling. The earliest that they predict in July 4th weekend. Colorado doesn't even want tourist in their state just yet. Our plans were to go June 27th - July 6th and we do not know if that will work out or not. Utah might be the only awesome trail...
Does anyone have plans for the weekend yet? We are still up in the air as to where to spend the weekend - camping, wheeling, fishing, metal detecting and photography. What say you?
