Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
What Tahoe said...Morris Mule is a lot of trailer for the money. Starting at around $4500. Made in Alabama, so close to you in Florida. Ruger in Colorado makes a nice affordable trailer around $5K, but it's a long haul to get it.
More progress. Hub spacers and longer hub lugs came in and got them mounted this past Sunday.
Also finished replacing the straps on the RTT with milspec 2" webbing and buckles. Boy does it speed up the setup and takedown time, not to mention how much beefier they are from the stock crappy...
Is it worth it? It was for me. Lowes trailer new $450, RTT new $769, jacks front and rear $70, bigger tires(takeoffs) $free. Maybe $1400 total. And now using it in Season 4. Stays loaded and ready all the time. It's a breeze to pull on road/off road. Inexpensive and works. No second kind of...
Just got back after a test drive following the install today. Observations: 1) wheelwell clearance is now on par of what my FJ had. 2) some vibration at 1200rpm's and 30mph. hmm. (like drive shaft vibe) 3) some wobble at 60, just slight, as if my tires need balancing, (just balanced a week...
I had one of the factory wheels get dinged, and ever since it would not hold air for over 2-3 days. So, I found a set of 2019 4RUNNER wheels taken off right after the vehicle purchase last month. Brand new. Look decent. Problem solved. Great price at $275 for the set. Next up, the Dobinson...
Back in the fall, I upgraded the tires/wheels on my 19' Winnie Drop trailer from 14" to 15". The takeoffs I kept for my RTT/Lowes trailer. Well we finally got around to cutting the fenders off to mount the 14" set. These are half again wider than the 13" we took off, and gave and additional 2"...
Went from 12" rims to 13" rims, and flipped the axle. 5K miles on the trailer since the flip. Knock on wood, no issues so far. I now have a set of 14" and will remove the fenders and put them on, in the next month.
I figure with all the Rubbermaid Totes, Solo Bonfire, firewood, chairs, water...
If your "testing the waters" a Smittybilt RTT is a good value. They're usually discounted this time of year. Mine's three years old and going strong. Got it for $760ish. Other members have Tepui, CVT, Free Spirit, and 23Zero. All good tents, but you'll pay more. You might want to check out...
This arrived Christmas Eve Eve.
The Air Suspension of my GX470 is about to be...gone with the wind. It's being replace with a Dobinsons 2-2 1/2 lift, coils and shocks. Understand I'm going to have to also buy an air suspension disconnect kit before the install can proceed. It's never simple...
After 20 years without a camera, my Canon T6 arrived today. Bought the body only and ordered an EF 50mm F 1.8 STM lens separately. It's a basic camera with good glass. I wanted something to take the occasional picture but, would also be fairly simple to take a video.(borrowed my daughter's...
Try Facebook Marketplace. Just bought a Canon 28-105 EF-S for $100. Also, try Craigslist. Lots of good Canon EF-S lens out there with guys upgrading to the mirrorless Canons and moving up to the R series lens.
Haven't looked for cameras in over 10 years...but...just bought a new(really) Canon T5 for my wife's Christmas present. Yeah, I know, it's a bit dated, but it's a big upgrade from her old wore-out Canon XTI. Then went looking for a wide angle to telephoto (28-135 or there abouts) and found one...
Drove in several miles from Bull Gap on NF 600-1 and found a great campsite overlooking the Coosa Valley. (I think) Went with my SIL who said it was "perfection". Definitely a million dollar view. But, Joseph was right...it was perfect.
It was so hard to leave. Can't wait to get back.
A holiday weekend campout to the Talladega National Forest was the scene of my 1st opportunity to use the Orange Boxx folddown rear table. Worked great. I had plenty of room for the Partner Steel stove and prep area as well. It is stupid simple, and makes life a lot easier. It has turned the...

The OB unit is heavy duty and designed to outlast your vehicle. Spendy? Yes, but quality construction. Laser cut GXOR and color coordinated to match my interior. HUGE cooking/worktop area, and room to put a number of molle pouches. The design still allows access to the tool kit...
Picked up a his-n-her set of Lands End Squall Jackets for half price and free shipping. Our old ones were over 25 years old and getting pretty ratty, so it was time.
