I'd love to join y'all out there for one of these.....but it's always right after my September Mojave Road trip!!! And with this new bad health issues.......I'm not sure I'll be able to have my Annual trip! Had to cancel my Easter trip, as my dog had cancer and I didn't want her bouncing around the Mojave Road for three days!! So, her and I went out for her last trip to our Favorite cabin and just hung out for 5 days! And now, it's my turn.......so if I'm able, I'll post it......if not....well, maybe just go out to the cabin again and take it all in, in case it's my last time being able to go out. Good Times!!!!

Hope you are feeling better soon Robert. Had fun on the Mojave Road trip we did, in spite of the flat tires - part of the adventure :-)

Hey Mike, yeah.....cool trip, with the exception of all the blown tires!! LOL! Anyway, my beautiful doggie Cleo died in May :sleepy:......so I'm currently without a dog/camping partner. Depending on what this new Dr. I have to see tells me on Tuesday.....My next Mojave trip will be Sept. 19-21 2025.
Unfortunately, I don't know how bad this shlt is.........let's hope it can be fixed and eradicated by then!! If I'm good to go, I'll post up or maybe call you. Typically......I would be posting it up in the Rally Point soon if I didn't have this health bullshlt to deal with! If I'm good, I'll try and remember to reach back out to you. It'd be cool to hang out again........maybe without all of the tire changing and get you to the end of the trail!! :sunglasses:

Where will we be setting up base camp? The co-ordinates lead to the intersection of Cima Rd and Morning Star Mine Rd. I won’t be able to get down there until late Friday and would like to bring my trailer down on Wednesday.

Details have not been set yet, should have the plan out later this month.

More than likely you will be at Thomas Place

Still waitiing on the final information from the Mojave about the projects. I hope to get detailed info out by the third week of September.

Dates and times still remain the same, its just reporting locations that need to be nailed down.

Quick update for the Mojave Trail Guardian event in October

First off I am back, some of you knew that I was having Heart Valve Job done last week and it turned out as planed so I will be able to make the event. Just need to lay low for 6 weeks ;-)

We are still on track to send out the event details later this month, Bob and I need to have a conference call with the Mojave staff next week so we can finalize the plan.

THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT!!
Both projects depend on having everyone that signs up actual show up to the event, the assignments for both are done in advance so we get the most work done in a specific amount of time.
  • Collecting campsite date using the authorized NPS program. This project will probably bleed over to a spring 2026 event. We only have authorization to use the program for one year.
  • Planting native plants on Cima Road, this is due to the new road surface and the disruption to the plants on the sides.
In conclusion, please make sure you can come and if you have changed your mind please change your RSVP.
Pass along to your adventure friend's that we still could use some more help on this one.
