    Worthiness of a Remote Reservoir

There should be room enough for the reservoir. The ones I'm looking at are Fox, they're all braided lines and they're tuned to my spring rate which is excellent.

    Whipsaw, BC, CAN

I've included the downloadable tracks for this too. The optional Murphy Lakes route, out of Tulameen takes you back to Highway 5.

    Vehicle Tools (Merged thread)

I was just looking at tool storage early today, that bag is great. Too bad on the price though, $150 Canadian without shipping :|

    Worthiness of a Remote Reservoir

Whats the opinion on remote reservoir shocks on overland rigs? I sort of know I'm going to bite the bullet on reservoirs because of a recent trip (shock fade) and future plans, but I'm interested to hear others opinions. Also, is there anyone running a reservoir that wish they wouldn't have?

    Favorite Driving Snack

Its got to be beef Jerky and/or Salt and Vinegar Miss Vickies.

    Top three mods.

Honestly, better to have it and not need it, rather than not have it and need it.

    Favorite Trail Meals

Breakfast: We always go fast and simple. Eggs and bacon are a favorite of mine on the trail. Lunch: I don't often eat lunch, in fact I don't remember a time when we did. Diner: Its got to be homemade Chilli!

    Top three mods.

    1. Larger tires/more aggressive tires, they have made a world of difference on the trail. 2. Lift kit - in order to fit the tires :) 3. Quick disconnects - also make a world of difference on the trial. I would do everything the same again. At first I felt like a winch/bumper combo was top of...

    Alcan 5000

As Expedition North posted. Its a TSD rally, which is the only drawback for me being that it's a $3000USD entry fee. If I'm up that way, I'd like to have time to explore some more, which is why I was curious.

    2014 Jeep Wrangler JKU

I did. I sold them along with the ARB front stubby bumper to a guy for a killer deal. Happy to see other Jeepers build up their dream rigs! In Canada those MCE fenders are crazy pricey now (for what they are), $1000!

    Firestik mounted

Interesting. I was told that the metal on metal from the mount to the tire carrier made my setup easier to tune than a friends metal mount on fiberglass cab.

    Barney Riley overland trip

Looks like a fun trip. Nice Jeep too, wish I would have gone with that granite color now..

    Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route

Great trip report, I love that white FJ. As for the rain and packing, I know that feeling being from the PNW with about 168 days of rain a year.

    Firestik mounted

Paint? What is this paint you speak of? You shouldn't need to tune much with that mount, or at least that's what happened with my firestick and a similar metal mount.

    BFG KM2 in the snow?

How deep? I was in about 2ft of snow when I noticed them become less effective.

    What is your rigs name

I can relate... I think we can all relate.

Welcome to the Western Canada thread

Looking good! If I didn't own a Jeep, I would have the new 4Runner.

    Tire Suggestions

I have ran Duratracs (33"), MTR/K (35") and BFG KM2 (35"). So far I prefer the MTR/K, asides from having them balanced.. but that's another story. They run nice on and off road, give me decent MPG, oddly and aren't very loud (even though I prefer a loud tire). While I haven't run KO2's, I...

Nice photos, I just did this trial for the first time in August. Its a great trail, which direction did you travel?

    Worst stuck

So it wasn't me, but a Subaru Outback had gotten stuck in an absolute monster of a mud pit around midnight. We spotted his taillights from about a half mile away and decided to give him a hand. This guy's outback was dug down past his front bumper in thick stuff, needless to say his lady friend...
