Just a little day trip on our way to Costco with my little girl, she is 5mo so more day trips out than anything but she did well on a 5 day trip in apache NF this summer.

Not this time around, this was out on BLM land in Mecca. I live equidistant to there and Joshua Tree, and Anza Borrego is only another 20 minutes.

Quite an overland adventure last week. Did a big loop through southeastern Oregon. Didn't quite escape all the smoke from the wildfires in the west, but we eventually found blue sky.

Great scenery. Is that a road or a hiking trail going down to the Lake picture? And where is that located?

Thanks. We were at Succor Creek campground for one night, which is close to the Idaho border in Eastern Oregon. It was recommended to us because of the scenic canyon. The campground was acceptable, especially since it was nearly empty. People apparently hunt for thunder eggs there.

Sorry to take so long to reply to your q's...The lake shot was looking down from the summit of Steens Mountain at Wildhorse Lake. There's a narrow footpath down to the lake, but no road.
The previous shot is the loop road from Steens Mtn. Last shot is from the Alvord Desert. That's all in the SE corner of Oregon.
