I have been talking to Dom about us meeting up at the Pilot in Hesperia. We are planning on leaving Thursday morning. I think we could all meet at around 8:30 A.M., but, everyone needs to confirm what time is best for them. As far as I know, the following are going:

Dom (and Wife?)
Doug and Allison
Terry and Letty
Brent
Mizael (and wife?)
Cliff

We all have reservations at Camp Edison next to each other in sites 18-23. I may stay a day or two after the rally if there is good boondocking available and the weather is good.

OK, so what time is good for all to meet?

Here's a copy of my original post

I'm going to Big Bear Sept 28-29. I'll most likely drive up Friday the 27th and find a yellow post and set up camp.
My main goal is......Relax, Eat, Drive around, sleep in the forest and whatever else pops up.
OH..if a few people show up, I have a new cobbler recipe to try. That will be Saturday evening.
I'm always open to suggestions, so if you want to see something, go somewhere up there, let me know.

It looks like the weather is going to be poor in the mountains. That means desert trip should be nice. @Adventure_Dad, any preference? I don't have a particular spot in mind. We can remote camp about anywhere from here to Baker or south towards Anza. Also whats your time frame 1 day, 2day....?

We can communicate and plan here in case someone wants to hook up at the last minute.
 
I'm going to start a new thread for a Mojave road trip around Thanksgiving. My goal is to meet the Saturday before and come back on Tuesday (ish). That would be November 23rd-26th. Thanksgiving is 28th-29th.
We would start at the river and come this way. I normally meet at the Avi Casino (Avi Casino Resort Laughlin Nevada | We Have It All On The River) spend Friday night and leave Saturday morning. When I run this, I sort of stay to the route with side trips to see stuff.

Anyone interested?

I'm looking to keep the number of people down to 5-6 vehicles. If no one can go, I'll be posting this in the run section of the forum. I'm always open to suggestions. Its also possible to join for part of it and head home in the middle if needed.

I'm also going somewhere after Christmas.

I'm interested. I already put in for that week off. I need to check my kids soccer schedule and make sure that isn't their last games of the season.
 
I’m heading uo there Friday morning and staying until Sunday. Thinking BjgBear, Holcomb Valley yellow posts. Somewhere in that area
 
ok. I'm on nights so i'll be leaving late morning. Just so you know, were looking at 63 high during day and 33 night. dress warm. Meet somewhere?

Kids soccer ends the weekend before, so count me in. Now I know I have 2 months to extend my diff breathers.

Hey everyone, new member here, originally from Montclair, CA but recently moved out to Coachella Valley(Anza is only 45 mins away tho so that’s nice!). Anyways Me and the wife are looking forward to meeting up with you guys and doing some camping and exploring with like minded people, see you all around at the next meet!

The 2019 Overland Bound Rally "Sierras" was a blast. The Inland Empire was well represented at this year rally. Bald Mountain was a challenge to the top. Met a lot of like-minded people. Already looking forward to next years event.

Hello Desert Traveler, welcome to the Overland Bound Inland Empire Meet-Up. I will be updating our next meet up shortly. We just got back from Shaver Lake, Bald Mountain Rally. We will keep you posted on upcoming events. See you soon.
 
Looks like some great hills to climb wish I could of went back surgery this month for me if all is well see you in the spring time.

Hey Jeff and Anthony, we are planning to go on a day ride to Ocotillo Wells/Anza Borrego on the 19th. Watch for an update from Domenic, he will provide details on where to meet and where we are going. Why there? Because we are trying to put together a Rally event for early next year and we think that would be a good area for it. Therefore, we will be checking out the area for camping sites and for good trails. Stay tuned.
