Storing Gas?

Storing gas? I’m not sure why at these prices! 🙂 Ok, so if you do have gas on your Overland vehicle, here is a critical point: Fuel stabilizer.

You need to add fuel stabilizer to any gas that you plan to store for an extended period of time. On a trip where you are planning to use the fuel in a week or two, you are fine, but I always keep one of my Jerry Cans full so I can help stranded commuters who have run out of gas. Sometimes I will go a month or more before using it. Gas starts to go bad fairly quickly. If you are storing for over a month, it is a good idea to add stabilizer, which will allow you to store your fuel for a year or more.
