What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

So this rig... whew... it's been years in the making. I've wanted this setup for maybe 10 years, and then I started learning about the LR3/LR4 platform... and waited and saved... and finally.. ordered this 2013 and slowly built it up. Well today marks the, hopefully last, major modification on the rig. I have my tire and jerry swings off right now, but here she is.. ready for even more adventures.

My family and I went exploring some of the Natchez Trace and the roads off of it today. This was part of the "Old Trace" which is a primitive one-lane gravel road.

What part of the Trace?

A short piece of it outside of Nashville, TN between Fairview and Columbia. We're fortunate to have it nearby and it makes for an easy scenic drive when we're just looking to get away from the house for a while.

Ordered a new Front Runner Slimline II roof rack to replace a Yakima Megawarrior basket. Cant wait to install it.

Awesome, I live 3 miles from the Trace in Madison MS...one of my favorite afternoon drives.

Took a drive out to French Creek State park for a few hours. With the leaves turning, it was a nice ride. Took the trails back to the cabins. Stopped to do some small game hunting while there.

Replaced the old fuel injection system with MPFI. Got rid of the misfire and she's finally on the road again!

We started out hiking in Blowing Rock at Boone Fork Trailhead. It was foggy down low but once you got above the clouds it was beautiful.

Then we went to Blowing Rock brewery. Leaving blowing rock we took Globe road to 90 down to Maple Sally rd, to Brown Mountain Beech rd. The trail was covered in leaves and wet, but otherwise in excellent shape. Beauteful ride and it gave me a chance to try out the new tires and lift. We ended the day at Catawba Brewing in Morganton, excellent day all around.
