Hey Ryan, I have not done any research on this, but it's a great idea. Our color is #ffb700. Do you know if that is in regulation?

For most areas color does not matter. For driving on the dunes... "The Bureau of Land Management requires banners be solid red or orange in color, at least six inches by 12 inches, and placed such that at least part of the banner is within 10 inches of the top of the whip."

I would happily fly a yellow one from my antenna on normal trails though.

I would just fly mine below the required red or orange flag, so any color flag will still be legal. That's how I was able to fly my American flag for memorial day weekend. I personally like your current design. I only wish the small flag was double sided.
Unless I am on a group trip with you all, then I would just fly the OB flag without my orange triangle flag. Haha

We will probably make the smaller flag double sided.

That's a great idea! I definitely would love a double sided pennant or rectangle no bigger than 24 inches on the long side. Something that won't try to rip your antenna off if you drive fast.
