Oh man I love those Samurais. What engine did you end up going with?
The 1.6. 8v from a Tracker. It was a toss up between that a 1.9 TDI, but I had heard too many stories about the drive train not holding up to all the additional torque

I have had the Black 69 sweptline ute since 1989. I almost converted it to a 4x4 many years back. The red power wagon i just got this past February and haven't even tried to start it yet.

My first job back in high school was at a gas station and "Bud" the owner had a '67 Dodge tow truck. That was in 1968 so it was basically new. I got to drive it several times which was pretty exciting for a 16 yr. old with a 2 month old licence. I've always like this style of Dodge truck.

The GMC big V-6 starts at 305 ci.

V6 engines were produced in 305, 351, 401 and 478 cubic-inch (5.0, 5.8, 6.6, and 7.8 respectively liter) displacements, with considerable parts commonality. During the latter years of production, 379-and-432-cubic-inch (6.2 and 7.1 L) versions with enlarged crankshaft journals were manufactured as well.

I laugh when I hear people who think they have a large V-6 in some modern import.
