Well if I would have known I would have loved to be there. I check for notifications multiple times a day and reecieved none for this thread since before Thanksgiving. It wasn't until I decided to check the thread tonight I noticed i was like 3 pages behind. Well that sucks

I’m thinking the NOVA group should plan an annual trip to OBX for camping, good food and, of course, some fun in the sand. The Outer Banks of North Carolina is considered one of the best ‘overlanding experiences’ in the country and, just out of our back door, we are the perfect distance to make it a great day, weekend or longer trip, depending on personal preference. Would anyone else be interested in getting their rig a little sandy this summer? I vote we call it OB-X...see what I did there? Lol.

I’ve never been but would be interested

Went up to Vermont over the weekend with mixed goals. Should have made Overlanding #1 but found a few spots to play. I think I could have gone straight up the power line cut, but took a side trail which dumped onto a state road. Was already on the way home so didn’t go back for the power-line cut

Mind sharing where you went? This is my "neck of the woods" now, but haven't had a chance to do any exploring yet. :)

Hope everybody had a geat Christmas! Santa brought me plenty of cool truck stuff some of which won't be here until February which gives me something more to look forward to.
Merry Christmas! Santa didn’t necessarily bring me anything for the rig, but everything I’ve ordered going back seven months seemed to have arrived over the past few weeks so I’m pretty excited about wrapping up the exterior build of my rig. Excited about adding new pics to the build thread over the next few weeks.

Yep, I have fun with the build threads. I even use the one on TW as a maintnance log. I enjoy reading other folk's builds as you never know where you might find a good idea you hadn't ever thought of. When the rear suspension parts come in I will complete the rear suspension with the Hammer hangers and extended brake lines. Christie ordered me a set of custom fit Carhart seat covers for Christmas also

Definitely. I will be looking some trails in Vermont, and camping spots in nice places with lake or beach access.
Cape Cod is always on my list, as I know you can go on beach but not overnight, needs to find a camp side as well.
