I am putting together a DIY shower and kitchen wash:

ATV Sprayer w 12v pump to connect to my dual battery system that I have in the rear:

changing the head to this:

and a heating element that ill connect to my portable generator

might add an water input system with a pump and filters later for drawing water from rivers/ watersource for longer stays.
I got lucky add ran across that very same atv mount sprayer at Walmart marked down to $35 bucks a couple years ago, planning on using it on my camp-trailer build

For campers who want hot water anytime, not just when the sun is out, merging a battery pump with an inline propane water heater is a powerful solution. Portable heaters like the Pipe Volume Calculator 5L allow you to heat water instantly by running it through a gas-powered heating unit. Pairing this with a battery-powered pump lets you draw water from any source, heat it, and get a warm shower on-demand—whether it’s morning, evening, or cloudy outside. This setup is bulkier and best suited for car camping, van life, or base camps, but it delivers the ultimate comfort.

I set up in the troop carrier a hydronic Espar diesel heater that provides instant hot water and heats the cab. It a bit complicated system but uses diesel from the fuel tank. It uses a 1 gallon coolant tank.
