Custom. Pros....its awesome. Cons.....adds a lot of weight to the rear end which requires suspension modification. No regrets on my part. The protection it offers has already paid off for me (as has the front bumper). If it didn't have the spare it would need a swing out and could be made from aluminum...which to me is better in all aspects (weight, rust, etc).

I'm looking at the swing out spare mount too. I'm already planning a suspension mod for Canyon carry limit. Thanks you. I look forward to seeing more of your build.
