    Solar problems

When you hook up the solar with the MPPT attached, which wire do you hook it to? Yellow, or to the red battery? If its to the yellow wire and it works, then the redarc internal regulator is faulty or incompatible (which would be odd). Where is the solar panel grounded to? You may have...

Are my wheels and tires big enough to off-road!?

Here's the secret that no current marketing department wants you to know...... YES I don't even need to know what size tire you have, the answer is still yes. There may be places your tire size may limit you, but don't let that stop you.

    Fridge&Freezer recommendations

Just a little update. I've had my ICECO for some time, running constantly without any issues. It even took the brunt of a parked rear ending, and while my slide was toast, the ICECO didn't miss a beat. I'm shopping for another fridge for my Cruiser, and it will be an ICECO as well

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Tore apart my bed setup, getting ready to go into the body shop. No fun, but an excuse to rearrange/rethink my set up. Silver lining. Might be selling my softtopper and rack to go to a smartcap

    Body Shop Recommendations

So my morning started off in an epic way. My Gladiator was parked on the street outside one of my job sites when a nice polite young pregnant lady was too busy lighting her cigarette and chugging her monster to avoid my giant white stationary Jeep. Life is hard for some people. 30mph into the...

Chevy vs Ford vs Toyota pickup

These type of threads are always entertaining. I always answer the same way. Drive them all, buy the one you love. Whatever the reason for your love is, that’s yours. You really have to TRY to buy a bad vehicle now a days. Peoples opinions are based on theirs or someone else’s bad...

    Something different. Let’s talk music.

Like many I have a diverse taste. Pretty much anything except "pop country" I can deal with old twangy stuff, or "southern rap" but thats it for country. My goto is Pandora "guardians of the galaxy" station. Excellent mix of 70s/80s. That's when my daughter is with me. When its me, it...

    weight distribution in truck bed

I had a long drawn out reply typed up, then hit the wrong button and lost it all. Basically I had the same issues, stopped over thinking it after testing with temporary weights in different places. Not a huge difference. I try to be balanced-ish, but not a major point of concern and have...

    Fridge&Freezer recommendations

I do the same, use the compressor side as a freezer, and have not noticed a significant temp differential top to bottom. I usually keep the ice cream in the little "cubby" and normal frozens in the basket up top. I've been very happy with it all around.

    Minimum clearance

Loaded question of the day! "Anywhere" is relative. So many factors. A properly armored, fully locked mid size rig on 33s will go ANYWHERE. may have to break out the winch now and then, but the places it will go, will scare the skirt off the average person. My Crosstrek had more ground...

    RTT vs Ground

Pretty sure it was the @socialpants walk around of his raptor. There are also several type available from trailer manufacturers, as well as great diy ones using adjustable load bars and other methods.

Attempting to make a window awning RTT stye

There is approximately a 2" deep hole in the base of the tent that the pole slides into. They are made of spring steel. You put it in the hole, then bend it to attach the hook end to the "awning". The spring tension pulls it tight, out and down as the pole is trying to return to straight.

    RTT vs Ground

If the only reason you can't do awning and RTT, put the awning on a pop up mount. There are tons of threads on pros and cons. Biggest con for me is having to pack it up to go anywhere. If it's a folding RTT, it's at least as much time as a good ground tent. Biggest pro, I'm a kid and it's a...
