    Just wrong

This seems to be a reoccurring issue that is spreading across the country. A lot of the high school kids out here have found out the forest service rarely patrols the trails and they can do anything. It's sad that I have to avoid the first 20 minutes of trails in the black hills because they are...

    Indiana Members, check in here.

Hello everyone! I was born and raised in Indiana for the first 18 years before I joined the USCG and stationed in DE. My family lives in Fishers and Carmel so I visit home a couple times a year. I drive a H3 that I outfitted for offroad traveling (posted a build thread about it). I'm trying to...

    Legal Weapons and Overlanding

I carry a sidearm with me when we go out in the black hills, the mountain lions here have become very daring and have begun to not back down from bigger threats.

    Engine bay/hood temperature

That makes sense that it would already be raised because of the increased stress on the front, thanks!

    2006 Hummer H3

The towns along the coast were flooded so I had to travel through them to get to my unit. This is a current picture of my rig. It has been awhile since I have added any new modifications but plan on doing suspension upgrades and getting an ARB bumper with a winch and new tires. Dashboard hula...

    2006 Hummer H3

I purchased my H3 in 2010 because my jeep decided it wanted to be a submarine. It was good timing because I was on medical leave for a shoulder surgery. My family drove me from Delaware to our home in Indiana to recoup from my surgery. While on leave in Indiana, I bought the H3 because I wanted...

    Stickers

I have a few stickers on my rig. Couple of surfing ones, USCG, and 4x4 recovery vehicle. On the front I have my clubhummeroffroad sticker which I need to replace since it faded.

    Right of Way

This depends on the size of your group as well. Large groups should give the right of way to smaller groups since large convoys take longer time to negotiate trails.

    Engine bay/hood temperature

hello, I noticed you have the flat black section on your hood to prevent glare from your overhead lights. Did it create an increase in hood/engine bay temperatures? I have heard other people that have done similar mods have significant increases in temperature on the flat black sections. I am...

How to Start a Fire - Collected Wisdom

I use dryer lint soaked in Vasoline and then stuffed into a toilet paper roll then store them in ziploc bags. 3 rolls will fit into a sandwich size bag. Any small spark or flame sets them ablaze.

    Hello from South Dakota!

I was in the military and decided to get out and use the gi bill. My fiancé is from Rapid which is why we moved out here from Bethany Beach, DE. The businesses here are all locally owned and friendly which is similar to coastal Delaware, except there is a significant change in scenery! Lol.
