    Hello from South Dakota!

I would like to organize something but there are very few people on here within a reasonable distance of Rapid City. If you are ever on the west river side it would be great to try and organize something, maybe do a convoy with people in Minnesota or something. What rig do you have?

    NJ to MT

@Scott.Coco A lot of parks do not allow pets because they "disturb the wildlife". Pets have to stay in vehicles and can only be in designated areas such as campgrounds. @Ironhide Fx4 there are a ton of awesome trails and camping spots out here in the Black Hills. What were you looking at doing...

    Snowboarding…

I typically leave the snowboard behind on trips unless that's all I'm doing. I ride a Nitro Pantera with Burton Cartel bindings.

    Vehicle Quirks

The H3s are notorious for accidentally entering antitheft mode when trying to start them. This is caused by faulty BCMs. Also the sunroof drains get clogged because of the design used for it to pass through the firewall, which in-turn makes water leak through the roof. Another bad quirk is the...

    Hummer h3

Thank you! The transfer case is from the alpha. I had a shop do it which took 2 hours to complete. I would have done it but I didn't have the proper tools at the time. I ordered the lights through GM since it was a factory option and I get a discount through them. They can be pretty difficult to...

Trip to Yellowstone with young kids

There are tons of trails here in South Dakota and all around Mt. Rushmore. It will be extremely busy here during that time period though, just a heads up. Keystone has a ton of museums and attractions for kids, and it is less than 5 minutes from Mt. Rushmore. I would also suggest checking out...

You could always move the light bar to the rear of the rack for extra back up light

    Guide for Overlanding with Pets

They have had sore feet from colder temps which we remedied by getting dog booties. I did a lot of research into dog boots before purchasing any because there are so many styles. I ended up ordering ones that dog sleds use for their dogs at dogbooties.com. Dogs feet regulate their body...

    Guide for Overlanding with Pets

I would recommend ground tents for sleeping because they offer more space and are less hassle than roof top tents. We set our tent out for awhile so our dogs could get acclimated to it. We have two German shepherds so I got a tent that was big enough for them and two people comfortably...

Roof Top Tent places in Badlands NP

I live in Rapid City, SD so the badlands are about an hour out of town. I'll pull a few places later for camping that is off the well traveled areas but have great views. One of the few ways of getting info about trails and camping is through purchasing one of the maps specific to the badlands...
