@MarkW the leaf spring hangers definitely get in the way. I still need to get the skids for the shock mount to help but changing the hanger would be more beneficial. Interested to see how your modification goes!

@Masheen365 I've heard that the bolts can become corroded, in certain states they are illegal for road use, if you take the ring off the tire needs rebalanced, and they require a little more maintenance (checking bolt torque regularly). This is all hearsay though.

I hated the random very soft sand patches when I was on the beach. Now I hate mud that has a thin crust of dried earth that breaks when weight is placed on it and instantly bogs vehicles. It suctions the vehicle down so breaking free is very difficult and tires won't clear properly.
