It's hard to shuttle multiple mountain bikes over the tailgate with a cap.
Some people feel clausterphobic sleeping inside a cap.
Short bed mid-size trucks only have a bed length of around 5 feet making them too short to sleep in.
Caps are crazy expensive when purchased new.
My wife thinks...
I swapped out the Eibach front lift for these....

I've seen a lot of Tundras running RCI and Budbuilt skids but I don't have experience with either brand. The steel skids are nice and thick though. I prefer steel. Aluminum is fine for daily drivers who don't plan on needing skids but want some insurance. Steel is for those you know they will be...
That's one heck of an adventure. :) Having a positive attitude helps you endure some of the worst mother nature throws at you. As Graham Cahill always says "There's no such thing as bad weather only bad preparation."
I haven't noticed any brand , model or platform bias on OB. Everyone seems welcoming and supportive. That's why I like this place. Learning from someone who modded a Roo or advising a new Jeep owner on what trails to cut their teeth on in Moab to showing off your truck bed camp system so others...
I always have to make or modify stuff because I'm too cheap to buy the proper yet expensive part. So I spend the same amount of money, sweat, bleed and curse a lot to make the part myself.... :expressionless:
Ohh and from what I can tell it's just the driver side bumper bracket that bent a little. The hitch looks a little uneven though so I'll have it all checked out just in case. Considering that is an area I use for hard snatch recoveries I want to ensure it hasn't been comprimised.
You may be right. The hitch took quite a hit too and the shackle punched right through his bumper. You can see the holes it left. The entire receiver shackle combo is scratched all to heck.
But you're right. The poor guy made a simple mistake and at his age it could cost him his license. :( We...
And this is why we can't have nice things......
Got rear-ended today. The poor older man made a simple mistake and is pretty shaken but no one was hurt in an obvious way but you really never know until a couple of days later. For that I am grateful. He was very nice as was his family that...
Thanks! I notice details and from 3 feet away you can't really see any imperfections but up close you can tell it wasn't professionally done. I guess I put a disclaimer in there because there are people who really put their heart into their work and you can see the detail in person but not so...
Departure angle straight off the back bumper will be the same because the hitch is the limiting factor from that angle. However, anything from the sides has increased quite a bit due to the body lift and the cutout shape of the new bumper. The steps on the sides of the oem bumper get bashed...
I decided to try and raise the new DV8 rear bumper to align with my 1.25" body lift. Because the DV8 bumper comes with its own mounting brackets that don't mount tbe same as the OEM bumper brackets I couldn't use the brackets supplied with the body lift kit.
To raise the bumper I simply needed...
