Chemo sucks! 3.5yrs of it and although I'm happy to still be here I haven't been the same since. Good luck with your treatments and stay strong. Being surrounded by nature is healing.
Got the 1.25" body lift in. I'm waiting on the bumpers to show up before drilling the new brackets. Overall it really wasn't difficult, just time consuming. I think it took longer to take the chrome parts off my grille so I can have them painted than it did to install the lift pucks. lol
So...
Looking good man. :)
Do you absolutely need a 33" tire or could you get by with a 32.4"? I ask because if you are considering adding a huge amount of weight with a slide in camper I would consider sticking with a wider tire option like the 275/70/17. It's not quite a 33" but it will be more...
I'd say thanks but I think you are looking at Cole's truck from DV8 in the pictures above. lol It's a damn good looking rig for sure! I still need the fender flares and when that roof rack becomes available I'll be adding it too.
My truck is currently running the Eibach setup as well but my...
I figured since I'd have the front grill/fascia and rear bumper off to install the DV8 gear I may as well do a 1.25" body lift as well. The main reason for the body lift is to create more tire clearance up front. For $130 it is worth it tto me to reduce tire rub while offroad. :)
Thanks! Definitely start a build thread. I'd like to see your setup. We learn from each other. :)
I was/am concerned about the lack of recovery points too. I talked to DV8 about it and yes, with the winch you are mostly covered but there are times when you need a snatch or pull instead of a...
Thanks for the heads up. The remote can be plugged into the winch as well but I'll have extra batteries as well. I should toss a battery charger (AA and AAA) in my gear bag as well. Could prove useful on those longer trips. Like when you go to turn on your headlamp for a run "to the loo" and...
DV8 Offroad makes steel bumpers for full-size trucks and the GM Twins. I purchased their 887 wheels, which are specifically made for the GM Twins, a few months ago and have been happy with them. DV8 appears at first glance to cater only to Jeeps. They make a ton of cool bumpers, swingouts and...
I agree although the Duratracs are a bit more of a hybrid all-terrain/mud tire so they are better in thick mud than the K02 or Wildpeak AT3W. However, like emulous74 said, they are terrible in the rain. I had to use Auto4wd on twisty roads or the back end would swing out on me. They also tend to...
All good my friend. Deadly99's rig inspired a lot of my mods. I love that truck!
We're heading up to Banff and Jasper in July so maybe I'll take you up on that beer. ;)
Sad to see the poor execution of the flare install and the crap powder coating job. Your build is coming along nicely despite the GM and AEV errors. :)
Thanks buddy! I wouldn't worry about the rear hitch. If anything you can weld up an insert with a bottom plate that will allow you to slide off rocks and protect the receiver. Sorta like this. Cleghorn Trail Skid. But shorter may be better.
I like this idea better honestly. Multi use too...
Yup.....
Used the fake rock sliders here..
Tagged the front bumper cover and plastic insert and bashed the OEM recovery point a few times on Metal Masher Trail, Moab. I think I bent the driver's side recovery point down a bit. Notice the puncture mark above the recovery point.
Hell's...
Hey @OutsideSeth , I noticed my buddy dropped the price on his ZR2 wheels and Duratrac LT285/70/17 tire combo to $1000 for 5 wheels and tires which is an incredible deal if you're looking to go that big. He lives in the Bay Area and can't ship them but since you'll be down here it might be of...
