Nice progress! Wow, some of those rusty undercarriage bits look like they've been pulled out of an ocean salvage!

Is anyone using a Weight Distribution Hitch to pull a trailer? Recommendations?

It looks like the best option for my particular setup will be a Fastway E2 600/6000 Trunnion WDH w/sway control. I'd get a Prodigy P3 brake controller, too. We're going to look at a used trailer next Monday.

What is the difference between a tow strap, snatch strap, and kinetic , and when would you use each?

Thanks guys! I have a 30' Smittybilt tow strap, but I kept seeing the videos of folks using stretchy straps, so I thought I'd ask. It seems that a kinetic strap would be a good addition to the tool kit. Thanks for the input! Steve

    Lead Navigation App for apple

Many of us here use Gaia, which is the same price. LeadNav looks interesting, but it can cost substantially more if you subscribe. Gaia Pro is $20/year, while LeadNav Pro is #150.year! LaadNav has been out for three years, and I've never read of it before today, while Gaia is the most often...

What is the difference between a tow strap, snatch strap, and kinetic , and when would you use each?

Tow strap, snatch strap, kinetic strap, I'm confused. I have, and have used a tow strap to pull a vehicle out of the snow. I know not to leave slack, and to just pull steadily. And I've seen videos of trucks getting a running start and jerking a vehicle out, but I've also seen where they yank...

Is anyone using a Weight Distribution Hitch to pull a trailer? Recommendations?

Looking again at possibly purchasing a small travel trailer. I'm lost when it comes to weight distribution hitches and sway bars. Some have added sway bars, and some have them integrated. I've looked on general RV sites, but they aren't much concerned about ground clearance. Anyone use one and...

Goal Zero Yeti 400 Solar Generator Experience?

The Anker Powerhouse is lithium, and it isn't *that* much more than the current Goal Zero. But Goal Zero is a bit more across the board for all of its stuff, so it will probably be more than the Aker model.

    Total Solar Eclipse 2017

If you guys are planning on going anywhere near public or private campgrounds, state parks where reservations can be made, etc., you are a year too late. I've been reading on other forums where public campgrounds across the country have been booked full with waiting lists since January 2016...

    On the Trail Cooking

Our typical "on the road" lunch is cheese, bread (baguette, croissant, or some local bakery loaf), fruit (usually grapes or apples), and a drink, usually fruit juice or V-8. If it is cold, it will be tea or hot chocolate from a Jetboil. Rarely a chunk of meat included. We pull out the bag...

    2006 Ubaru Forester

That's a lot cleaner than the "temporary" Mickey Mouse job that I did on my Outback, and left that way until I sold it. And then turned around and did it the same way on my 4Runner until I get around to doing a major electrical modification...

Off-Road Lighting... What do you run? Why?

Note that I aimed them lower after those photos, so it isn't quite as high. And these are the Squadron-R Pro lights, which have about twice the output of the Squadron-R Sport models.
