    Tundra Bumpers

I'm waiting for mine to be manufactured. So all I've see is pictures on their website and random Googled ones. They have been good to deal with so far. The ETA for my bumper is looking like its going to be 2 months, which seems to be the norm for many bumpers these days. I order mine with the...

Storage solution for underbody spare tire mount area

I saw a photo of a guy that had a dual battery box welded up and placed in that freed up area. Seemed like a great idea.

    Tundra Bumpers

After spending way, way too much time trying to sort through bumper options for my 2014 Tundra ....I went with the SSO Slimline bumper for the front, and decided to get a Hitchgate with dual fuel can and hi-lift holder for the rear. Honestly, most of the Tundra bumpers are the most gawd awful...

Other Uses For Your Recovery Gear

Pulled a dozen crappy old cedars out of our backyard, in about an hour, this past spring with the winch. Had to get a little creative with routing the line through the fence and around the cherry tree....but it worked like a darn, and my back has thanked me ever since. (That., and confirmed to...

What is your must cook meal or must have food for camping.

Pulled pork taco's are one of our go-to's. I'll normally smoked up a bunch of shoulders a few times a year, then divy up the pulled pork into meal size portions, vacuum seal and freeze it. We just sous-vide the package back to life at the campsite ans I swear it tastes almost as good as the day...

    ET the Expedition Tundra

My winch and spare wheel were delivered yesterday. This is really starting to come together. We also found out our FWC Hawk order went to the production line today. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

    Canadian Artic Highway nearing completion

We are headed north to the Arctic next summer. We've been planning this for a good year now, and specifically planned for next summer so that we could (hopefully) drive the new highway up to Tuk.

    ET the Expedition Tundra

I ordered the 700 front coilover option, knowing that I'd be putting a bumper and winch on the front. Since it will be a couple months before the bumper arrives, I decided to lower the front ride height a bit. I've "successfully" used this redneckery method on the Xterra in the past, so I...

    F150 Overland build

I just ordered a Hitchgate for the Tundra. Seems like a very sensible option, and will mate nicely with the Four Wheel camper we ordered a few weeks ago. I never thought I'd be working on a full size rig build, but now I've been driving the Tundra for a few months I can't see myself ever going...

    ET the Expedition Tundra

My Wife and I have also ordered a Four Wheel Hawk model camper. We visited with Gary, the Canadian rep, who was simply fantastic and so very informative, and helped us figure out what we needed (and equally important what we did not need) . We are looking at a delivery date somewhere in late...

    ET the Expedition Tundra

So, advancements in suspension have been initiated. I replaced the stock suspension with the shiny new goodies this past weekend. I will be (hopefully) adjusting the front ride height down an 1" or so this weekend, along with finishing the airbag install and the installing the carrier bearing...

    ET the Expedition Tundra

The heat of the summer, intense all consuming smoke from the forest fires, and may Father's rapidly declining health kept me from the build this past summer. But yes, it was extremely difficult to remain patient. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

    Dogs out on the road?

In 110% agreement. I find that the dogs enjoy themselves better and are more comfortable and less nervous in a smaller confined space, than if they are allowed full reign of space in an suv. We generally provided enough space for them to lay down comfortably in the Xterra, and in the Tundra the...

    Dogs out on the road?

We took the dogs on our 2 week 6000km trip to Colorado and back in the old Xterra last summer. They also come pretty much everywhere with us. Took them on out two week summer holiday to the Oregon Coast in the new Tundra this year, and they will be on board for our trip to up the Dempster Hwy...

2016 Toyota Tundra Multi Phase Build

If it were me, I'd stick with the smaller tire. I'm not sure where you travel, but I can't imagine many places that you couldn't access with 35s where you could with 37s. Don't forget the added weight of the spare wheel on the rear bumper, as well as having to lift a 37 off and on the rear...

Are you familiar with a P & P Engineering? I was googling around and found that they claim to make a 3rd Gen rear bumper with dual swing outs, in steel and aluminum. Looks interesting, but I'm not familiar with them at all. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk
