We missed out. I had already booked the NW Overland Rally weekend when I found out about the BC Rally. Next year we will probably do the BC Rally instead.
We've also made an appointment to meet with the Canadian Four Wheel Camper folks in Vancouver in early September, with a mind to sort out and order a Hawk model.

I picked up the remaining suspension goodies from across the line yesterday. ADS racing shocks and coil overs, and MCM Fabrication UCA's.
I'll be starting the whole install in mud September once the heat calms down a bit. Trying to remind patient is proving difficult.

Wow, most excellent and approved by the CFO to boot. Good stuff. My ADS shocks and MCM Fab UCA's showed up yesterday. Once the temperatures cool down a bit (middle of September I figure) it will be time to start actually bolting all these goodies on. I'm having a heckuva time trying to find a...
I out two Deka Intimidators in the Xterra. Fantastic batteries. I run a T-Max controller and have never had any issues at all. I put a cheap Canadian Tire Coleman solar controller in as well, and use a 75 watt panel to keep the batteries charged while camping.

What a great build. I'll be keeping tabs on this. I just replaced my trusty Xterra with a 2014 Tundra. I have ADS suspension on the way, Dakar leaf pack and airbags sitting in the garage, and a set of new wheels with Ridge Grapples waiting patiently in the basement. I sure live this truck. Never...
Cleaned up and painted left side calipers today. Will do the right side next weekend. Trying to tinker away at little things while I wait for the suspension and tire/wheel package to arrive.

I installed the ARB
compressor yesterday. I sure appreciate the added room in the engine bay to stuff things in, and the easily removable switch block as well.

After taking a serious look at where we want to go with our adventures in the future, and how we want to get there, I made the decision to put the beloved Xterra up for sale, buy a 2014 Tundra TRD Off-Road and start in on a new build.
My eventual goal is to build a rig that will go off-road...
Where do I start? I bought a new (to me) 2014 Tundra 2 months ago now, and over the past week have been burning a hole in my Visa ordering "stuff' to start her transformation.
Nothing has arrived yet, but so far I've ordered:
- ADS Racing coilovers w/adj. reservoirs and rear piggyback shocks...
We do a 3 day trip from home over into the West Kootenay last year. Spent a night at the forestry campsite at Upper Little Slocan lake in the Slocan Valley and it is amazing and beautiful. You could also take the old gravel Old Cascade Hwy (the original road before Hwy3 was put in) from Rossland...
2007 Nissan Xterra Off-Road. A most excellent example of a durable, reliable, go anywhere, never leave you stranded adventure rig. 4.0 Litre V-6, automatic transmission. True 4x4 (high and low range), with new upgraded electronic locking rear E-Locker. M205 Titan (1/2 ton) front differential...
It's time to bid farewell to our most excellent and trustworthy adventure rig. She has served us faithfully and I gave no doubt gas many more smiles per miles left.
Available in the South Okanagan Valley, British Columbia.
