That's really weird. The one we found behind Rock Creek was pretty much plowed under by the time we located it. It had apparently been a commune for migrants from Central America years ago. The feds cleared them out and the dope growers moved in for awhile.
Their is some weird stuff out there...
Brilliant series. It is the highlight of our Friday evening tv viewing schedule. My Wife and i have been watching since the beginning, and to be honest, it was watching the first Yukon series that got my Wife interested in the idea of the off-road adventure/expedition type travel.
I believe...
From a great customer service perspective, I have two stories.
1. I broke the tip on my Kershaw Leek, totally my stupid fault. Mailed it off to Kershaw for their claimed $10 blade replacement. Got a call from them when they received it saying they'd replaced the blade and were mailing it back...
Hi Lorenzo. Welcome. I love Italy, you have an amazing Country . My father is from a little town in Emilia-Romagna, and I yearn to get back to that part of the world again sometime in my life.
Everything has a trade off. Start with some 1/2 decent tires and just head off into the bushes. It will all be fine. Once you start running into some limitations then you can decide where to upgrade next.
OME makes great suspension products, that don't break the bank, provide a small lift, and...
For me
#1 good tires.
#2 a little lift, better suspension if budget-able, nothing crazy. Offers better chance and articulation to clear obstacles
#3 some armor to protect your truck, like a good pair of rock sliders (#2 and #3 seem to be interchangeable depending on who's doing the talking) ...
Man, if you flipped my truck upside don and shook it a million pointy thing would fall out. I think I've got knives in every cubby (one can never have enough means of slicing a nice load of French Bread you know). Nevermind axes and saws, and the machete all along for the ride under the back...
I can't wait to get the Tundra into some real snow. We've had it up in the mountains in a few inches of snow so far....looking forward to winter for sure.
When we had to say goodbye to Jet, and I was the one that had to make the call to send him over the Rainbow Bridge, it was probably the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. My Wife and I were certain at that point we could never, ever have another dog in our lives. That the hardship was...
Jettie-Man. He was an OG adventure dog. Gone but never forgotten. His collar hangs from the truck rear view mirror and rides with us everywhere we go.

I just ordered a Factor 55 fairlead. I figure it will fit with the look of my new bumper better than the polished aluminum one that came with the new winch.
Hawkeye Rovi - The name of my new build (2014 Tundra with a Four Wheel Camper on order) . Hawkeye for the model of the FWC, and Rovi as a little tribute to my recently passed Father. He grew up in a little village in Italy called Rovinaglia, and he was an inspiration to me as far as searching...
I ordered Slee Sliders for my Tundra. My requirements were, a structural slider that offers protection and the ability to jack up the truck from, a product that is well made and looks good, and a solid step type base to both help the Wife out, and to allow a possible safe spot for the dogs to...
I have a set of Slee Sliders sitting in the garage waiting to go on my Tundra. When I started this new build, a good set of structural sliders (that also work as steps) were high on my list. Now if it would only warm up enough for me to install them.
I believe that Bear Creek Main runs from West Kelowna up to the Coq Connector. From there you can run forest service roads down to Peachland (we stayed at MacDonald Lake up there, and it's beautiful) and it connecs over to the Headwaters area, then connect somehow to up behind Summerland. I...
We are heading up in July. I have the Milepost sitting on my coffee table and I've been reading through it every other day. Checking out route options along the way. Definitely taking the Cassiar Hwy northbound, with a detour to see the Salmon Glacier. I've been looking at this Campbell Hwy and...
