I don't agree with you. The Rubi will out wheel the ZR2 on anything technical. Tire size alone will dictate this. 33's can fit on a rubi stock. 33's are pushing it on the zr2. add money (very little btw) 37's can go on the rubi without issue, the zr2 is a no show then. For pure off road...
Some good reading there. I am currently working on an off grid solution for our boondocking camper. I do have a 2000w honda generator that will be going with us, but I want a solar solution to have power most of the time. I was going to run two golf cart batteries in a case on the front of...
I had teraflex spacers on my JK unlimited too. It's different with different rigs however. That being said, I can have everything in my suspension new including the spacers for less than just the OME springs and KYB shocks/struts from RR. Hmmmmmm. That makes it even more tempting.
Fugitive and other escapees, what do you think of adding the 1.5 inch spacer to the front suspension? My rig has the downward dog pose to it. I would be happy to either put a spacer in with new underpinnings or run ome or h &r springs. Whatever gets me there. I am seriously close to...
The base model Colorado is 235 biweekly tax in here, the bison is 382 bi weekly tax in. That's 294 dollars a month savings. I am going to sell my escape at that time and pay for the extra goodies! better to have a lower monthly payment and build it myself (I am a mechanic btw).
As an update to what I just posted....I mosied on over to aev's forum, they are selling the bision parts starting SOON! maybe I will take this route, and have a way more affordable BISON CLONE.
As I mentioned I owned a jk modded, with the falcons and a griffin attenuator, the jk will feel just as good n road. But I think I am leaning towards the bison as it’s overland ready off the floor, able to tow much more than the Jeep, and better on gas. I do not like the regular zr2. The...
I am working on getting everything setup inside and out now for our adventures for the next few years. I can't wait to see what the escape is like in the backcountry!
I am getting a newer rig in the next year or so, I am wondering what would ride better on rough higher speed roads and trails. The bison with those cool shocks or a wrangler unlimited with falcons? I mainly want smooth high speed rough roads and trails performance for my family. High speeds...
I just noticed on ebay there was a dash panel for my escape with 4x4 auto / on switch. Is this something that can be added and be functional on my rig?
I could do the vanlife thing, but this would be the "van" we would be doing it in!. Enough space for the 3 of us, and the bedroom separates for those special times when privacy is needed.

Yeah,
I remember that site when I was looking at an escape back in the day. I think I am going to put a level up front then go with the H&R springs for an extra inch of clearance with the blue Monroe shocks if they are decent. Proabably go to a 245/75/16. I am loving the crap out of...
Hey Raul,
It's a 2007 XLT 4WD. H&R makes a 1" lift, and I am going to get a 1.5" leveling kit for the front. It's super nose dive'ey ( nice word) at the moment. Once that is done, and my current tires wear out, I will figure out the largest size tire I can fit on it. So far, the...
