Well, I got my "new to me" escape in the driveway. It needs a few things like tone rings for the abs, some park brake parts and the exhaust tucked back up in the proper location. New tires on the rear are needed also, the fronts are 235/70/16 Hercules at II. supposedly very new. I am...
Hey Fugitive, I just picked up myself a 2007 escape v6. The patriot is still kickin, but I got a great deal on the scape! What's the largest tire I can fit on it?
back in 1999 I had a 98 4wd extended cab sport with the 318 in it. I LOVED that truck, I had 32's on it, rear cap for carrying stuff, Waag front guard, and tail light guards, 2 sets of lights, a shelf it with vhf and cb installed. In the rear, I had a come along winch etc. I had 2 " of...
Yep, have to use the spaccer brand too. Pricy, but needed in order to fit the tires. Going to use the same ones I have on my jeep. Kumho AT51. I was going to put 20s on it and lower it but looked at it more and its like a crosstrek so give into it and go with a second build we can use...
Got the build plan done.
215/65/16 on sparco gravel wheels in black
1.98" spacer lift
Skid-Plates front metal skid plate to protect the vitals
SCB black aluminum bull bar light mount
roof rack and trailer hitch with attachments for various activities.
Hella HID retrofitted 500s
HID low and...
well, we needed a new ride to complement our little Jeep. We were almost signing for a new kia niro, however, they removed white from the base level options and jacked the price 1500. In order to get white we would have to pay almost 5g more after all was said and done. So, plan b went...
Thats awesome. For tires, have a look at the Kumho AT 51s Lightweight, great traction, I am getting good wear on them. I think they are the perfect small rig tire.
I think the outlander, Just like my patriot has no issues where low range is needed. put it in first gear, using the sport shift and crawl away. They will not be rock crawling, so anything else, I have gone over in my patriot. Again, I am guessing the little outlander is the same, As...
What fender flares did you use? that rig is sweet. I totally love little sport cute utes getting built into adventure rigs. Patriots, souls, RVR/Sports, etc. Stuff that runs economically but still gets out and dirty!
I am not sure if they are available in the states, but in Canada they have a Rav 4 team trails edition which has a few goodies for trail exploring. Have a look!
Awesome hamster car brother! There is a company called Spaccer (I think) who makes lift spacers for most every vehicle. If you need a little boost underneath. Also, I have a home in Zephyrhills not far from you! I travel there when I can. It will be much less often now since I have a...
Well, had the Jeep into the shop at work, she needs a little work. Shocks, suspension goodies and brakes. So I have seen some lower lifts available now and I'm going to pop on a 1.125 inch lift on it. 2 inch will make it look "not right". So all this will be going on asap.
Cool. I find the springs on the patriot stiff enough. The stu's coils are even stiffer so I think that would give a board like ride. The Rough Country lift looks like the winner....and the one I am going with!
If you go into the interior through the burgeo highway there are literally hundreds of KM of awesome back country exploring and camping. Hows the jeep take the RTT?
