Thanks Mark. I am going to keep going every month, if people start showing up great, if not, meeting the single people one on one is also great.
I think a lot of the lack of participation is due to the weather we have been having... once the weather changes more people are going to start to...
Set up an RP, and I can help push the event. If I don’t know about it I can’t talk about it.
But does the club endorse others pushing out their event. @Spud.Built contacted Moose for pushing their event last week, and I was contacted by Mike & Keys to push theirs.
I always recommend an auxiliary transmission cooler, unless the vehicle came stock with a heavy duty cooling system. The stock coolers are generally under designed and heat is the number 2 cause of automatic transmission failure. Number 1 is lack of maintenance. Do transmission maintenance when...
In 40 years, just two instances isn’t bad... just be aware of your surroundings and ready for anything... give others the benefit of the doubt, but don’t let them into your standoff zone.
Welcome Lucas, glad you found us. You came to the right place to learn more about Overlanding.
@Kent R is the acting Northwest Regional Director. Your closest Member Representative is @Gabriel Bozeman . the rest of the Northwest Member Representative Team is @Munga Brown (Oregon Coast)...
Your map isn’t accurate, there are three repeaters in Union County that handle ARPS, and one in Wallowa County all on the 2m band. The map is only showing Kennewick with one repeater, when there are actually several, these however I don’t know what band they are on.
@JL Lou , could you set up another RP for the 22nd of February with the updated information, then post the link back here. That way people can rsvp for accurate counts.
Thanks,
Mike Rose

Contact your local member Rep or Regional Director @AdventureWithDanan for help setting up your own Campout as well as finding one. Purchacing a membership also makes this process easier, because not only can you set up your own RP, you can send messages to members in your area directly.
Have Member Number, Update Your Account, is where this belongs. Gets more traction there. But the short of it is, send @Jim SoG a message containing your Name, Email used to purchase your membership, and your confirmation number. He will get you hooked up over the next few days...
How remote are we talking? The president of our local hame club goes all over the Northwest, and has stories of his mom sending him texts asking why he is where he is when he should be on the interstate
This was a great conversation, thank you to all who participated. I really enjoy these calls because I am too far away to participate in local events on a regular basis. I do however want to make it to a Beer and Gears event. Next month maybe it will fit into my agenda better. If not, I will...
No problem... I keep my eye out because I remember how frustrating it was as well... the hiccup will be fixed soon, in the meantime we just have to keep a lookout for each other. Jim is just one guy, and can get rather busy these days.
