So to address @Billy Hung :
Let me explain why I chose my coms options. I started with CB, because several years ago it was needed when i worked as a field mechanic for several logging operations. The CB radio allowed me to stay in communication with the equipment operators, truck drivers...
Wow, more stuff for me to learn... wonder if my wife would let me pick up another hobby... I’m still trying to talk her into letting me bring my computer in from storage where it’s been collecting dust for the past 4 years. But the only real thing I did with it was use sketchup and doctor photos.
MSR is a brand name... I have the MSR Windburner with 2.0l pot and coffee press. They make dual fuel stoves as well...

@Marinerecon , welcome to Overland Bound. I personally love military trailer builds... probably because I spent a lot of time rebuilding them in the Army.
Welcome Ryan,
Lots of places to explore in Colorado. I lived in the Springs for several years, as well as Pueblo and Canon City. My kids (not such kids anymore they are 17 and 18) still live there.

My first overland rig was a 2wd Ford Courier, 5 speed and a 2.0 four cylinder. It went further than all the boys with jacked up mud trucks... so far I fact a huge 4 wheel drive tractor could barely get me out.
My dad has had several 4wd Rangers from 1985-2002. He currently has a 1998 with...
You are correct in thinking you will never want to leave the PNW... I took I90 west back in ‘13 with the intentions of coming to Oregon for a few months, then head back east to Colorado via I84,80, and 25... while I have made the journey East 4 times in the past 7 years I have also made the...
