iPad is a great choice for Gaia... I went through several apps and several tablets and finally settled in this combo... coms... I highly recommend getting your ham and GRMS licenses and use FRMS handhelds for spotting

Talking about full sized rigs and winches... the really cool factor is with a little creativity you can put a winch behind the stock bumper... especially so on the older rigs like @Big G Pickup. And it can be done cheaper than getting a Warn winch plate.

Now you need the Flinstone Car to tow it with... if Barney Rubble were an overlander !!! Just kidding with you. This is going to be a great trailer when you are done.

Nice kit... quick question... I see a block and tackle there, does this mean you have a winch as well? Or is the winch in your future upgrades?

Out of all my Overlanding rigs I have ever owned, only 2 were purchased for this purpose entirely... the others were purchased to fulfill my DD needs, and adapted to fit my Overlanding needs at the time.

with CarPlay you can hide the Apple device and use the headunit for nav, music, email, and web, along with a lot more

Apple CarPlay relies on an Apple device to work... its the interface software between the headunit and the device.

No problem.... my favorite fishing holes are up by Sumpter. Maybe late spring or early fall we could do a campout at Philips Reservoir.
