No "action" shots but my buddy took his 2wd Ford van on our trip over the weekend. We were doing trails up around Big Sur, so nothing "gnarly" but there were ones I looked at and though "nah, he shouldn't try this." A little momentum and a little bravery and he got through it all. I did see...
Awesome, thanks! I just tested and the issue still exists, but it seems like a higher threshold (my non-scientific testing says it was raised to 10 concurrent connections/tabs).

I made a post about my trip, but I finally got to take the FWC off road, as intended this weekend. I did 2 nights in Big Sur with some friends, and man it was great. The truck and FWC didn't disappoint me at all. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised how well the truck road on the trails (with...
Decided to go down to Big Sur this weekend with a few buddies. As it turned out, we represented 3 different versions of Fool(Full)-Sized Overlanding: full size pickup with a Four Wheel Camper, Suburban with a sleeping platform/drawer system inside, and a big-arse Ford van with a minimal DIY...
Exactly. The dev team needs to duplicate from non-whitelisted IPs/subnets. @DRAX did the heavy-lifting showing it's the web firewall (as opposed to forum software), which also proves it's not my connection (or his).

Taking the rig out this weekend, so I did some accessorizing. First I did a Mule Expedition Outfitter's Alluminess mount for the FWC. It's mean to be mostly "bolt on" but they don't notch it to be compatible with the LED lighting package on the FWC. To be fair, they DO note that on their...
Great data. An IDS/IPS makes perfect sense, and should be something the admins can either tune, or ask to be tuned. I'd like to see what the metric it is using to block is. Is it something like X pages in Y time?
-TJ
Glad it's not just me, and confirms what I was thinking that this is a "feature" that might be tunable. I haven't checked exactly but I think the block is ~10min.

I agree, I've never had this be an issue on any other site. That said, I've done this from multiple different machines and phones, from multiple different geographic locations, on multiple different connections/ISP (both wired ISPs and mobile data), with every different browser out there etc...
It's not a message, I can't connect to the site anymore. I'm testing now... for example if I open my thread about my WJ: 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Build
I then try to open pages 2 and 3 in new tabs, and click the "next" option to cycle to page 4. Before I can even get to page 4 I begin...
My IP is and my account are temporarily blocked from establishing 80/443 connections. I can verify with a proxy or VPN using a browser w/o my account cached at the same time. It's pretty easy to recreate, go to a thread you've posted in and open 3-4 pages of that thread in different tabs.

@Michael any thoughts on my reply? I wasn't implying that it wasn't intentional, just questioning if the result meets the intent. The efficacy of a 3-letter+ first name requirement over a 2-letter+ is nearly zero (again, bot originators have learned to use longer "names").
Thanks,
TJ...
I imagine I'm not the only one that runs into this... but perhaps I just browse differently than others. I tend to go to the "New Posts" link, then I launch a few threads in new tabs. I tend to skip around through them, replying in some, looking up things in older threads to link in some of my...
What is it you feel like you need the power capability for? I own a Hawk, it's very self-sufficient as far as power for the fridge/lights. I suppose if you wanted to run blenders and toasters and things like that, tapping into the F150 would be nice - but at that point I think I'd just upgrade...
There is a wealth of info all over the internet on the TJ-era Wranglers. What is it in particular you're interested in?
-TJ (that's actually my name, lol)
